Wasteland Wound Care

Adds stand-alone, usable, crafted bandages and other first aid items to Fallout 4.

When it comes to food-based treatment, you should look at Food Mod, also created by Yours Truly.

(He removes healing from food and stuff to keep up with the fashion.)

Or the original version: 'Food Don't Heal', also written by Yours Truly.

* Less powerful healing than steampacks.

* Perks of the medic give more and more bonuses, so items should be useful and at higher levels.

* Works with survival mode.

* Works WITHOUT survival mode.

New items:

(Quantity is approximate.)

*Dirty Cloth Bandage = Regenerates 5 HP in 200 seconds. (17 HP at the level of a medic). 4 rad. High risk of disease.

*Clean cloth bandage = Regenerates 9 HP in 200 seconds. (27 HP at medical level 4.) Risk of disease is moderate.

*Sterile Bandage = Recovers 15 HP in 200 seconds. (45 HP at the level of a medic 4.) To make requires a medic-1.

*Medical Bandage (pre-war, sealed) = Heals 24 HP in 200 seconds. (56 HP at the level of Medicine 4.) Antimicrobial effects.

*M1a1 Advanced Trauma Dressing = Recover 36 HP in 60 seconds. (84 HP at Medica level 4.)

*Raider Rad-Out = Regenerate 120 Rad in 20 seconds. +25 Rad Resist, slight HP damage, -3 PCP, bad breath.

*Wasteland Wound Balm = Heals 45 HP in 100 seconds. (100 HP at medic level 4.) Restores limbs +10%. 5 rad.

*Scavver Medkit = Recover 20 HP in 200 seconds. (100 HP in a medic level 4.) With Medic-1 regains limbs +1%.

*Scavver Surgery Kit = Recover 18 HP in 300 seconds. (180 HP in a 4th-level medic.) With Medic-2, it restores limbs by +50%.

*Ace Bandage = Restores only limbs (not head or torso) +10%. (25% with Medica-1).

*Steampack = 100% more effective than steampacks but highly addictive, plus risk of disease.

*Expired stimpack = about 80% more effective than stimpack.

*Large Bandage = restores HP. There are no disadvantages.

* Diluted Stympak = about 40% more effective than Stympaks.

*Diluted expired stimpac = about 20% more effective than stimpac.

*Super-Stympak = about twice as effective as Stympaks. -1 STR for 240 seconds

Modified items:

Steampack (vanilla) is now slower (lasts 4 times longer) and heals fewer limb injuries (50% instead of 100%). Perk Medick increases healing by 10% per level (instead of vanilla 20%).

* All subjects have been added to the lists of different levels.

* Some can be found in containers and on the dead, and some - to buy from traders. Some are rare.

* Most of them can be made at the Chemical Station, in the "Healing" tab. (Prewar items cannot be manufactured.)

Future plans:

The next version may increase the effectiveness of the Bloodleaf bandages, and expired stimulants will cause more thirst.

And integration of the scripting list of levels is possible someday.

Constructive feedback is very welcome!

Compatibility:

This mod doesn't change any resources. (It does not use scripts and does not make changes to Worldspace or Cells. It must be extremely compatible. AFAIK it can not cause any harm.

Other mods that modify certain level lists may conflict with this mod slightly, for example, not all items will appear as loot when they should. Using FO4Edit to create a merged patch will completely eliminate this problem. If you are not using a bundled patch (and why not??), I recommend downloading Wasteland Wound Care at the beginning of the download so that other mods can overwrite it. You may lose some of your robbed bandages and find more stimpacs than this mod usually gives, but there should be no other problems.

As of version 2.3.1, this mod is compatible with Wasteland Ballistics v.3 (and previous versions).

The compatibility patch for Damn Apocalypse can be downloaded additionally.

Works with Immersive Animation Framework. (You can also obtain the patch from the Immersive Animation Framework patch repository.)

The minimum (no bandages) version compatible with Better Locational Damage is available for download on request.

Installation / Uninstallation:

Install / uninstall normally. Very simple. This is just one .esp file. (You can install it, uninstall it, update it - no problem, it won't affect saved games).
