Sound Of Silence - Stop unimmersive ambient music (VR COMPATIBLE) mod
About This Mod
This fashion simply shuts down all the annoying, unadulterating, and repetitive surrounding music (the one you hear exploring cities, wastelands, and dungeons) for a more vivid experience. You will not know how terrible the roar of death's claw is, how oppressive the silence of the cave is, how distressing a strong storm is, how pleasant it is to sit by a warm fireplace... until you turn off these annoying tracks with this mod. The music of special events (such as the opening theme of the Vault 111), IMHO, is great for highlighting some epic moments, so this fashion leaves them untouched.
Another good news - this mod is fully customizable! Now you can adapt it to your tastes.
Tracks you can turn off:
1. Explore themes: These tracks play when you're wandering around the Commonwealth or in settlements.
2. Dungeon Themes: These tracks sound in dungeons or vaults.
3. Battle Themes: These tracks sound when you're fighting a common enemy.
4. Boss themes: These tracks sound when you're fighting a boss or legendary enemy.
5. Faction themes: these tracks are played at the headquarters of the main factions.
6. UI themes: These tracks play along with UI notifications about level rise, death, finding points of interest, etc.
What this mod does not disable:
- Special, unique themes of the main quest events, such as the opening of the Vault 111 door. This choice was made in order to preserve the flavor of some of the game's most cinematic moments. Because these songs are played once, you won't be bored with them.
- Radio stations will not be affected - you can always choose when to play them using PipBoy.
- Music from television and music machines.
- Themes added to DLC - for now! I will try to release a separate patch for them as soon as possible.
This mod now supports VR! This requires beta testing since I don't have a VR headset.
This mod now supports Automatron DLC! Go to Downloads to select the file you want.
