About This Mod

Delta Wasteland Radio by AlanQSmithee

v.2

This mod adds a standalone radio station broadcasting from the southern Delta Wasteland, close to where New Orleans used to be. It airs 36 classic blues songs, mostly from the 1920s to the 1930s, and four station IDs from the bot DJ M4-R4-NE (who wonders why it was programmed to feel blues). New in v.2: an additional extension adds 38 more songs and two station IDs. The extension also implements randomization of all tracks - if you want to move to another song, turn off and turn the station back on. In this way, two or three songs will always be available at the same time.

Installation order: To get all 80 tracks, you must install both the original file (currently 1.000001) and the extension. It will replace the original esp and add another 40 audio files to the fashion radio directory. You can ignore the additional patch.

------

Quality note: An effort was made to clean up all the songs that were undisturbed by the rig downloader, so everything should sound pretty clean, and I listened to the station for a couple of hours, and the game sounded fine, but let me know if something sounds unclear or too much

Quiet, repeating too often, or not playing at all.

A note about family friendliness: Early blues and jazz could be quite rough. I avoid these songs, but they still have a lot of hints.

The playlist includes:

Blind Willie Johnson - If I Had My Way, God Moves on the Water, John the Revelator.

Alberta Hunter - My Castle's Rockin', Boogie Woogie Swing

Leadbelly - Death Letter Blues, When I was a Coyboy,

Mamie Smith - My athletic man, do it, Mr. so-and-so

Misissippi John Hurt - Got the Blues

Memphis Minnie - Chickasaw Train Blues, Shout the Boogie, Three Times Seven

Blues, New Dirty Dozen, Me and My Chauffeur Blues, I'm a Bad Luck Woman,

Killer Diller Blues

Ida Cox - Wild Women Don't Have the Blues

Furry Lewis - Furry Blues

Coot Grant and Kid Wilson - Blue Monday on Sugar Hill

The artists added as part of the expansion include Mississippi John Hurt, Texas Alexander, Robert Johnson, Ethel Waters, and Sam Collins.

------

Installation: Use NMM or manually extract the file and drag and drop the Data folder (it contains the "DeltaRadio.esp" file and the songs attached by

nested in the path you want) in the Fallout 4 directory. Do the same with the additional extension - if it asks, choose to replace the original file "DeltaRadio.esp" with a new one.

Uninstall: Uncheck .esp and delete station songs.
