About This Mod

NOTE: My mod doesn't make any tags for items, nor does it replace tags with icons. This is done by Valdacil's Item Sorting and DEF_UI, respectively. I'd love to answer questions about tags or the DEF_INV_TAGS.xml modification if I can, but my mod doesn't change the system that tags or replaces tags with icons. I just added icons to iconlibs2.swf (consider this file as a library of icons for Flash) to give everyone more possibilities, and include icons for several VIS tags that were not in the original DEF_UI release. Please send any questions about missing tags or icons to Valdacil, it has created VIS and supports DEF_UI. Thank you!!!

UPDATE: Hey guys!!! Looking for ideas for the next version! Go to the new forum to leave your suggestions!!! Thank you for your help!

NOTE ABOUT CONSOLE MODDING: I do not believe that my mod will work separately for the console, so I will not download it to Bethesda.net. However, I allowed Neanka to download my mod as part of DEF_UI when he uploaded it to Bethesda.net. I don't have XBone or Fallout 4 for PS4, so I doubt that I will do any mods for these platforms or change my mod to work. Thank you!!!

UPDATE v5.5.2 - Another point release! In DEF_INV_TAGS.xml from VIS 7.4.2 there were a couple of typos related to the tags for weapons and ammunition Syringer. I fixed the typos, and here's the update.

UPDATE v5.5.1 - Point release. Valdacil updated VIS to v7.4.2 and included changes to DEV_INV_TAGS.xml that I added to my v5.5 mod, plus added changes to Syringer and Companion perk. This is a small point release, without new icons, just including VIS v7.4.2 DEF_INV_TAGS.xml. Thanks to Val for the update, and thanks for your support!

UPDATE v5.5 - Added 7 new icons. 4 of the new icons support the ArmorByClass option for DLC armor - Marine, Robot, Therm Optic and Trapper. Thanks to frog345 for reminding me!!! Also, at the suggestion of zcul, I added new icons for the Hack, Passkey and Password tags. Also, I didn’t notice that several of my FOMOD screenshots were PNG. I converted them to JPG and reduced the size of the fashion file by more than 5mb. Now the download and installation will be much faster. See the new icons below, and continue to submit suggestions!!!

UPDATE v5.0 - Added 8 new icons to support VIS's ArmorByClass! At the request of some of you, here, please! DEF_INV_TAGS.xml has been updated to support tags |Combat|, |Synth|, |DC Guard|, |Leather|, |Metal|, |Raider Power|, |T-45|, |T-51|, |T-60|, and |X-01|. Combat and Sint use the icons "star2" and "synth" from v4 respectively, and for the rest I created new icons. If you want your booking to be sorted by these tags instead of by type, be sure to select the ArmorByClass option when installing VIS.

UPDATE v4.0 - More icons! I added 23 new icons, mostly weapons icons. 16 of these icons were created by Spherikal and added with his permission, so respectful to him!!! This version also contains the latest DEF_INV_TAGS.xml from VIS 7.4.1. Added entries for tag icon [.45-70] (thanks to Spherikal for the icon w_leveraction_rifle) and for updating tag icon [10mm] on the icon w_10mm from Spherikal. See the "Images" tab to see all the new icons!

UPDATE v3.0.1 - Bug fixes. I renamed the folder for color icons in my FOMOD and forgot to update FOMOD. Oops. Now everything is fixed!

UPDATE v3.0: Holy crap, more icons!!! Added 103 new icons, mostly based on icons from the Fallout Companion application. The icon index has been updated with new icons. I haven't changed DEF_INV_TAGS.xml in this release, so if you want to use the new icons, you'll have to update DEF_INV_TAGS.xml yourself. icon_index.pdf in Data/Interface/DEF_CONF contains a complete list of icons with their reference names for use in DEF_INV_TAGS.xml. Enjoy!!!

UPDATE v2.5: A few minor edits, plus a bonus! I have created an index sheet for icons, it will be placed in Data/Interface/DEF_CONF for everyone so that they can customize their DEF_INV_TAGS.xml with different icons for VIS tags.

Changelog v2.5

- as suggested by starfis, L and R are added to the left and right parts of the armor and power armor to make the icon more understandable

- at the request of amaeli added a witch hat, the name of the link - "witchhat"

- updated tool icon with new colors

- new storage icon - carton removed and color changed

- added radiation symbol to weapon icon w_nuke

- combined color option with color option of weapon - less work for me when updating :)

- generated an index sheet for iconlibs2.swf, showing all icons and their reference names, placed in the folder DEF_CONF as "icon_index.pdf"

UPDATE v2.0: The Anarchy icon for Raider items has been updated thanks to the starfis! Look:

Anarchy

The reference name is "anarchy", I changed the reference name for the radiation symbol to "radiation".

A new option for color icons has also been added. FRiNGE07 didn't like that the weapon icons were all yellow, so he painted them. I have included this option in the installer. I had to change its colors a little bit, basically just making them brighter because the icons are displayed on a black background. Thank you FRiNGE07!!!

As I mentioned in other fashion I created, I'm a little bit picky about the visual design when I play Fallout. To do this, I use DEF_UI, Valdacil's Item Sorter, and the Armor and Weapons Keyword community resource. These are all great fashion. The only drawback is that Valdacil released VIS after Neanka dropped support for DEF_UI. Therefore, some of the keywords that use VIS and AWKCR do not have corresponding icons in DEF_UI. As a result, in PipBoy you see only a tag, which annoyed me :). I updated ICONLIBS2.SWF to include icons that match all the keywords created by Valdacil.
