About This Mod

From the outset, it was clear that America was desperate to win the Resource War, so much so that it would be willing to overlook serious medical conditions to send more soldiers to fight China. In particular, they are ready to send you even though you have terrible problems with your eyesight, which make you even more dangerous, to be honest. As long as you don't shoot your head off, I think.

This mod adds 10 separate albino eye variants for male and female characters in the creation, and most importantly, all eyes have pale eyelashes. I originally created it for myself because I wanted to play albinos, who had to wear sunglasses, hats and cover all the skin when he went outside, but I was disappointed by the fact that my eyelashes were clearly full of pigment. I searched, though not very hard, but I could not find any fashion that would do it for me, so I decided to create it myself. Through trial and error, I managed to get the almost white eyelashes my character needs to finally fulfill his dream - how to dress up properly. Knowing that I couldn't be the only person playing Fallout who had the idea, I decided to release it to others so they could have fun being pigmented in a heathland where the sun was always sickening.

The colors in the game range from stereotypical red and pink eyes to pale blue, a few purple and light gray eyes. I wouldn't consider them the best representation of the albino's eyes, but I think they're fit for purpose.

Note: technically it is not exactly ocular albinism. Ocular albinism is a genetic disorder affecting primarily iris pigmentation. In fact, this mod itself is more like oculocutaneous albinism, which for some strange medical reasons affects only the eyes and eyelashes. But, because it's not a skin retexture that makes it pale almost to transparency, and it's not a fashion that translates every hair color into platinum blonde or white, I thought it would be a smart name.

OA2 (still ocular albinism, but with more interesting things)

The new textures are clearly not too laura-friendly to apply to the albino character. I got a Riddick-esque eye request, and my stupid and overly complex brain thought, "Well, one new pair of eyes is hardly worthy of renewal." So I sat there wondering what could be done, and I came to the question that these new eyes are answering: what if your eyes were really affected by the wave of radiation that hit you right in your stupid face? (Let's be honest, it wasn't your best decision. Because of this, you became like a spoon in a box with knives).

New funny textures

  • Rage: Also known as Riddick's eyes. That's what happens when the radiation is basically good. They're a little light, but it's not scary because they're glowing! (I spent most of the day yesterday and half of today figuring out how to get them to do it right.)
  • Synthesizer: A fairly simple explanation, but the synthesizer's eyes. Same as the good old Nick and other members of Generation 2, if you don't have fashion that changes them. Obviously, you needed new eyes because of the radiation, so you got your face mutilated and two metal balls inserted into your eye sockets. (Custom texture with a debit mediocre normal map. Until there is a single request to make different synthesizer eyes, I probably won't do it, as I will have to get the permission of their authors, and I doubt that my normal maps will stand).
  • Oedipus: Blind eyes named after Oedipus Rex for reasons that people who know about Oedipus Rex already know. Radiation makes you blind, which is pretty anti-climatic. (No new textures. Just use the textures of the blind, which are already in your game).
  • Blank: It turns out the radiation just completely ripped your iris and pupil out of your eyes. Maybe you shouldn't have stared. After all, it's pretty rude. (The accidental result of trying to make Riddick's eyes, which I thought looked cool, so I made a separate set for them.)
  • Ghoul: Technically, 5-9. Radiation did to your eyes what it did to the ghouls. I can't say exactly what it is, but she did. At least she didn't make you a ghoul, because seriously, you were hit by a wave of radiation on the head, and you looked like a very pale daisy. Not even burned, for some reason. (There are no new textures here either, just using the ghoul textures you already have.)

Known issue:

The synthesizer's eyes and Riddick's sometimes fade away after you choose them from the menu. I'm assuming it's because they're editable grids, although, frankly, I don't have a clue. Just move away from them, like you're going to edit your cheek or something, and they're going to reappear. Just pretend it didn't happen.
