About This Mod

I created this very simple mod to complement two other mods that I used, namely the Pip-Boy Flashlight and the Tactical Flashlights.

. By default, the first mod allowed the Pip-Boy to turn on directional light, even if you did not have a headlight, making headlights pointless. This mod simply removes the standard light effect from the Pip-Boy, but allows the power armor and headlights to work.


You can still use the Pip-Boy setting to change the appearance of the lights of tactical lights, although the light itself will still be invisible.



Installation/Boot Order

If you are using Tactical Flashlights and/or Pip-Boy Flashlight, please follow the installation and boot order below to ensure proper interoperability between the three mods. Otherwise, simply install the mod in the ...\Fallout 4\Data\ folder manually or using your favorite mod management software.


Installation order (or mod order if you are using Mod Organizer):

Pip Boy Light (select "head radiator" during installation)

Tactical lights

Without the Pip-Boy: set to ...\Fallout 4\Data\ manually or using your favorite mod program.

Download order:

Compatibility

I have not tested this mod with other lantern mods except Pip-Boy Flashlight and Tactical Flashlights. The main version of fashion changes the Pip-Boy models and the defaultPipBoyLight lighting object, so install/download this mod after any other mod changes these things to keep the same functionality.


There are two versions of this fashion. Both contain esp, which removes the "light" of the Pip-Boy flashlight by default, but the main version also slightly changes the Pip-Boy models to remove the glow you see from the third person when the light is turned on. The esp-only version is available in case someone has a super-special Peep Boy fashion model that they don't want to overwrite (Peep Boy textures are not affected).
