Command and Tactics Companion
About This Mod
Adds keys to let your companion scream wherever you are. You will be able to place your companions, change their equipment and be more discreet in battle.
Keys (custom):
G - command a companion
H - Toggle Hold / Follow (does not depend on follow / stay through dialog, so do not use both options together)
Shift-G - Tactics: Choosing the distance to the companion (close, medium [default], far)
Ctrl-G - Open Companion Inventory
The companion tactics were originally part of the game, but were cut from Fallout 4. Why? I don't know! There may not have been enough room for four options for dialog. They have lines asking companions to stay away, attack on command, etc. Unfortunately, Bethesda was unable to get everyone to write their replicas.
I restored it. You'll be able to change tactics with all your companions using hotkeys, and get special voiced responses from Codsworth, Dance's paladin, Curie, Deacon, X6-88, Kate, Preston Garvey and Strong. Some of them prefer certain fighting styles.

Installation:
Install using your preferred mod manager or copy the files from the download to the Fallout 4 Data folder for manual installation.
Note that Companion Command is a script mode - there is no plugin to activate!
Assign keys to the desired actions in the MCM menu.
Recommended:
Speaking of tactics - Bethesda has made some very unsuccessful decisions about the distance to your companion when you enter stealth. I strongly recommend using spacefiddle's Companion Stealth Distance Fix in combination with this mod for better interaction with your companions. Maud will not allow your companions to run up to you and cancel the distance orders you gave them when you enter the invisibility.
