About This Mod

Do you think it's unfair that Curie got a human body and can use fashionable clothes and cool guns, and poor old loyal Codsworth is still a man in a can? Then this fashion is for you! Simple to use one button functionality, fully customizable appearance and now lip-synced dialog!

Change with Codsworth and take the Codsworth Controller holocassette.


Use it in your pipboy.



How it works

The All-in-One button is very easy to use and works in three stages, where the previous ones have to be passed in order for the next ones to appear.


1. Is Codsworth more than 500 units away? If so, move to the player position.


2. Is he wearing force armor? Throw it away.


3. If it is near and not in the frame? Turn on the race change.



With a race change, Codsworth's fighting style becomes Hankoy, meaning all the mods that change/improve his fighting style will affect Codsworth as well.


He also gains endless Settlery-type cartridges and indestructible Danse power armor.



Finally, if you're using my Wintermute mod, you can make more extensive customizations with its Master Control Program program if you don't change your voice because it's specific to Codsworth. This feature is activated by entering the "addkeyword WintermuteCyborg" command in the console with Codsworth selected, and then selecting it as usual using the control rod.


Known Issues

It's impossible to change the human form with the mods of the machines - yes, that breaks a lot, so don't hope to give Codsworth a Cobra-style laser gun. Installed modes, giving the player bonuses such as regeneration or damage resistance, can still work, let me know.

Animation problems - sometimes the animation freezes, especially if you switch in the middle of the motion, but you can reset it by putting Codsworth back in the workbench and hovering the mouse over the various options for the affected part of the body to correct the situation. Traveling, donning Codsworth in power armor, or any other action that applies/resets animations should also fix the situation.

Refusal to fight - if you switch between a robot and a person, each of them may have a weapon incorrectly equipped. Make sure you have removed all of the person's weapons before switching. If you forget about it, just go back to human form and take your weapon off. If you're using a mod to an automatic weapon, you may have to remove and re-install it in a workbench to ensure that the robot's weapons and ammunition are properly equipped.


Disclaimer

This mod has not been tested in full or even partial play, nor in a vanilla game without modifications. I did it as a side project while I was working on other things, mostly the sandbox. I've reached a complete affinity and got Codsworth's Perc without a problem.

However, I would not recommend using this mod if you want to be sure that Codsworth works 100%, keeping it as it was conceived in the game. If you've already got his perk, or you can afford to go where Mr. Handy's foot hasn't gone before and never come back, that might be the best idea.
