WHAT IT DOES
They gave him a butterfly hat before the DLC came out, didn't they? Now everyone says it can be modified in Robot Workbench, and you don't understand why it's not in your game? Didn't you even know it was a bug? Well, now you know! And this is a fix for you, my friend.
It was my first mod made after the release of Automatron. Then I felt silly when I read that Codsworth was available by default, and I thought maybe I needed to go further in the DLC story to unlock it in Robot Workbench. And yesterday Sushikat made me realize that it was clearly a bug if you gave him a bowler hat before the DLC, so I decided to download it as a fix.

HOW TO SET
Extract the contents of the rar file into the Fallout4/data folder.
Enable ModdableCodsworth.esp by using the mod manager or manually.
Make sure these strings appear in Fallout4Prefs.ini or Fallout4Custom.ini:

COMPATIBILITY
Fallout 4 Automatron DLC is required.
"Handy Hats and Armors" (current version 1.31) by -Ren- hides Torso and Legs mods in all vanilla NPC Ms. Nany / Mr. Handy / Mr. Gutsy, including Codsworth, because -Ren- removed the keywords "ap_Bot_BotCore" and "ap_Bot_BotLegs" from the APPR entry in the Mr. race. Handy, which is required by DLC Automatron. Thanks to fernicar for reporting this!
HOW TO USE IN THE GAME
In fact, nothing special needs to be done. Install it, launch the game, and Codsworth will be forcibly modified.
