About This Mod
This changes the texture of the rain effect because the vanilla effect looks just like a blurry thing, not like rain. It also changes the texture of the ripples seen when the rain hits the water to make it look more like rain, which actually hits the water and causes more outrage.
It is fully recommended to use together with "Loud Rain Sound" for a more exciting effect.
VERSION HISTORY:
1.0: Initial release
2.0: The rain looks as if it is falling harder, and added a little color to the drops (let me know if the colors are too highlighted using SweetFX or Reshade). Improved normal map. Ripples have been improved to give it more natural movement.
3.0: Made the rain thinner and more transparent. Fixed a damaged gradient texture for ripples, now it works the way I wanted.
4.0: Recycled the rain from scratch, now completely new textures. I made the drops less, now they look more proportional. I've practically eliminated these horrible cuts, which are in the vanilla effect, and in almost all the rain retextures, in fact I can't even notice them while the effect is working. It's as close to real rain as I can get with how the game engine triggers the effect. Edited the materials file to change the effect color and brightness of world light. I do not think there will be another version, but how to know ;)
COMPATIBILITY:
Not compatible with any textures that replace these textures or materials file. Not compatible with True Storms unless you install it afterwards and overwrite the files of this mod.
INSTALLATION:
Install using NMM, MO, or manually.
