Ambient music Fallout 3

I liked Fallout 3 music. The soundtrack always left a feeling of helplessness and loneliness in the hostile wasteland. As much as I love Fallout 4, the music has never been like Fallout 3 to me.

This mod is meant to fix it.

What makes this mod

This mod adds (not replaces, but adds!) the soundtrack from Fallout 3 to Fallout 4. Now you can listen to Wandering through the Wastes while you explore the Commonwealth. The advantage of this fashion is that it brings more variety to the music you'll hear when you turn off the radio.

I have added music from FO3 in the following areas:

• Research
• Exploring the coast
• Exploring the city
• Examination of the foothills (Shelter Zone)
• Exploring the Shining Sea
• Dungeons
• Combat
• Public (Diamond City, Goodnaybor, similar places)
• Institute
• Brotherhood
• Railway
• Minutemen

This mod is still in beta, so I really want to get feedback. Did I pick the right places to play the music? Are there other places where music should play? Are some tracks played too often or not often enough? Let me know.

Unfortunately, for obvious reasons I can not distribute Fallout 3 OST, so this mod does not contain music. You need to make sure you have a copy of Fallout 3 OST or a PC copy of Fallout 3. This mod contains esp that recognizes music files from Fallout 3.

What you need to do

You need to make sure you have a copy of Fallout 3 OST or music files from Fallout 3. They can be found in the Base, Battle, Dungeon, Explore, Public, and Special folders (for the MainTitle file), in the \Fallout 3 goty\Data\Music folder.

You need to make sure your music files are converted to .wav (there are countless ways to do this, I recommend you Google), and make sure they are named correctly (so the mod can read them). You will need to manually add music files to the folder that this mod adds, Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Music\FO3.

I attached a picture of what the folder structure should look like and how the files should be named. It is important that the files are named according to the picture, otherwise the mod will not be able to find them, and you may get crashes. If you've used files from Fallout 3, they must already have the correct names. If you've used OST files, you'll have to manually change their names. Songs that jingle jingle jingle

I've had quite a few requests for the New Vegas version. I'm not very familiar with OST New Vegas, and I don't have New Vegas installed on my computer at the moment to access the files, so it will take me a little while to get started.

However, I do have the soundtrack for Skyrim. While the music isn't as good for Fallout 4, I'm going to go over it and play with it to see if there are songs in Skyrim OST that fit well with the Commonwealth.
