About This Mod

A little fashion that adds to the raiders what I think is a special twist. It's mostly fast punk, but also a bit of gothic and psychobilly. Craft radio is also in fashion for your settlements, as well as radios placed on 12 different raider bases and other suitable locations throughout the map.

I understand that punk may have never been in Fallout, but I tried to make it sound "believable" at least. This means that there are no known compositions in the game, nothing that would be included just because I liked it, and stylistic continuity above all else. Nothing since 1990, for example.

All songs are sourced from reputable public sources - either rare unreleased recordings, demos, rough clippings, or just material from catalogs of bands such as Crass or Avengers, whose performances have been published on Archive.org.

UPDATE 2.0

Some of you may have heard of problems with editing cells in CK. Essentially, if you touch the wrong part of the cell (world space OR interior), it will cause the "pre-combined grids" to rise and fall apart, so the game will have to process a lot more data. This happened when I placed radios in the world, so I removed all the problematic links. Don't worry, the radio stations are still there! That's all about the gut, and now it's all about being fixed.

Now the interesting thing is: For your troubles I have included 16 new songs, for a total of 56! Added a couple of live bootlegs, editing them to better fit the overall tone. I also realized that the bands from Massachusetts had been criminally overlooked in my initial release, so I dug up some old 45 Boston hardcorners from the mid-80s and found some usable tracks by other wonderful bands from West Massachusetts. Enjoy!

UPDATE 3.0 - NUKA-WORLD RADIO INTEGRATION!

Only download this version if you have Nuka-World. Includes seven new songs! In addition to the regular station, 3.0 integrates these songs into Red Eye! You'll hear them interspersed with your own Red Eye songs and stories, and since Red Eye is voiced by Andrew Vickay, it's all very appropriate. Wherever you hear Raider radio, you will hear these songs, including from your own amplifier, if you install a Raider transmitter in a Commonwealth settlement. The original station continues to operate for those who do not need announcements in between.

VARIANT FILE: ALTERNATIVE FREQUENCY

Foolishly, the game uses an actual frequency range. If two modes use the same frequency, they will conflict. The original file uses a frequency of 88.8, but I downloaded a version that uses 101.7. Simply drag it and re-record the original ESP if you have conflicts.
