About This Mod

Glasses with the effect of improving vision to make London more bright and less gloomy.

WARNING: this mod will only work with Fallout London, not with vanilla Fallout 4.

Fallout London is an incredible achievement, but for me the rather bleak lighting scheme has slightly spoiled the fun of the game. This mod tries to correct the situation by adding glasses with the effect of Rose Tinted to make the visual perception brighter.

What makes the Rose Tinted effect

Increases saturation to make colors brighter, and textures such as weapon skin and brickwork in darker areas stand out more.

Adds a minimum brightness effect in three different variants: maximum indoor brightness; average outdoor brightness during the day; minimum outdoor brightness at night (7 pm to 7 am). I hope that this will ensure a balance between being able to see what is happening better and maintaining an adequate level of darkness at night and in poorly lit indoor spaces.

This mod adds new eyewear items that can be made at Chemia Station. They all have a "Pink Toning" effect:

Rose Tinted Spectacles - includes +1 perception.

Monocle with pink tinting - includes +1 perception.

The glasses with pink ebb - without a raise to perception.

All versions are compatible with the "Four Eyes" pepper.

Whether you consider a +1 boost to the perception of "cheating" is up to you, if so, use the points version. Fallout London has at least one "special" point with a +1 to perceive, so you can start with points and then switch to points or monocle when you purchase such an item.

Possible collisions

This mod is based on the NightPerson effect, so if you take a Night Vision perk or another mod that uses the night vision effect, you're more likely to get weird visuals if you use Rose Tinted glasses. Note that this mod does not make any changes to the effect of night vision itself.

This also applies to the CuteThulhu quest line rewards, but I have a solution for this, so watch out for this space.....

Installation

I don't use a mod manager, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't set a mod with the manager you chose. Let me know if it doesn't work.

For manual installation -

Copy the London_Rose_Tinted_Spectacles.esp file to the Data directory of the game installation.

Add *London_Rose_Tinted_Spectacles.esp to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Fallout4\Plugins.txt.
