About This Mod

In short. I needed a list of hair identifiers that I could identify at a glance.

I couldn't find it online, and I didn't have time to hang around Discorde looking for it, so I pulled my hair out on Blender and identified it. And since I'm here, I'm going to get rid of all the problems and provide an all-in-one Blender.

Usually I make mods in a more specialized environment, and Elden Ring is certainly a very good example of how a game diva can create an environment in which the workflow is "efficient". So I felt like I was building a house in the middle of a forest while I was puzzling over the fashion of my hairstyle.

In short:

It's not so much a mod as a collection of files that will help you get started on hairstyles after you create a workspace.

The content includes:

The basic universal package of hairstyles for Blender

- Modified Blender files for the base body model "ER_Base_Male", including all ER vanilla hairstyles that exist at the moment.

Secondary: Sorted and uncompressed Hair folder:

- Folder structure for all vanilla hairstyles, replace the last modified file with the old one and repackage it from there to make it playable.

Additional Files: Basic Player Model

- Backup versions "ER_Base_Male" and "ER_Base_Female" respectively. If you own the three corners of these files and want to delete them, please let me know (the place I got them from didn't spread any taboos).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

What do I need to start modding in ER?

- If you really want to be able to edit anything, take a cozy coffee, this is not a modest list of programs:

UXM (opens game files)

Yabber (opens uncompressed dcx files)

BBtools (Blender files and texture mods + no registration required. Like it)

Blender + Blender SourceTools (3D editing requires a 3D program. SourceTools is for SMD model import)

Paint.net or Photoshop (if you do not have a PS, Paint.net should be a reliable option, but I do not know I use a PS/CD)

FLVER Editor (to update/merge things after using the "magic" of the blender)

Yapped Rune Bear or DSMapStudio (honestly, I prefer the latter)

ModEngine 2 (in principle, this is necessary for non-destructive work. Otherwise, you will have to overwrite the extracted "game/" file each time).

Is there a tutorial for using this whole long list?

- Yes, there is. Even if Google does find something using the right terms, it will be a mess.

If you want to know what you need to do to start modding (your hair), I strongly recommend to first watch the video on setting up:

- First Step Tutorial - How to Make Mods for Elden Ring.

Note the correct order of playlists, because they are arranged a bit clumsily.

Fashions for Elden Ring by Scrub Milk (playlist), with video for beginners:

- How to import a custom armor model into Blender into Elden Ring - How to add PHYSICS to a custom mesh in Elden Ring (this is needed to make the hair physically dynamic, not static). Thanks to ZLOHORT for bringing attention to this video).- Scrub Milk also contains a pretty interesting archive.

Is it updated frequently?

To be honest. No, not often.

This is a long-lasting installation that a) provides information about existing files, b) provides access to Blender files, and c) has a heavy folder structure for re-importing vanilla files edited in Blender, and all this is focused on hairstyles.

I'm currently working on more elaborate mods for two games besides ER (active except temporarily frozen), so I don't even know what's scheduled for next month, so I can be on Venus until ER gets new hairstyles one day. If there's something wrong with the files or if I miss something, it's a different matter, so I'll be updated.

Whenever possible, I will try to share the information I have received, to see certain opportunities and blessings: to help others not to waste their time on the same issue.

I believe the Elden Ring modding community needs any help it can get for things related to modding like this diva.

You will make lists and mixing assemblies for other parts such as eyebrows, eyelashes and beards.

I was trying to do my hair, and that's what I did. Otherwise ER is not in my taste and will not last long. However, a familiar question was asked in the comments, so I performed a quick search among the extracted vanilla DCX files:

Look in the "parts" folder in Yabber, from where I extracted the game files:

Eyebrows begin with "fg_a_2001.partsbnd.dcx".

The beard begins with "fg_a_3001.partsbnd.dcx".

Eyelashes begin with "fg_a_7001.partsbnd.dcx".

If I make further adjustments, I will of course share what comes out of the review, but I do not intend to make any changes to the list above.
