About This Mod

Improved graphical accuracy and fixed damage jumps in the patched game (for base game and DLC), including NG+.

Prior to the release of the DLC, many mods were used to improve gameplay. Unfortunately, many of these have not been updated or have been recycled by people who have mixed some values (which has led to Draw Distance and grass mods failing) or have not included new DLC areas. This was done for 1.12.3, but I added a .csv file to make it easier to use in future releases and combine with other mods.


Other mods that I use together with the regulations.bin mod are the 4k-textures of Bardos most mods of TechieW , RT ambient occlusion+8kShadows and force dynamic shadows). You don't have to use the regulations.bin file of the force dynamic shadows mod, but the sfx file


Features of this regime.


Less fog/haze (saves the entire volume of fog so that the swamps and similar fog areas look beautiful, but significantly reduces the overall haze, especially over long distances. Two in-game heavy weather effects are also removed, as these variables are duplicated).


Improved draw distance (makes objects visible from longer distances. Bypasses other mods by drawing range, which causes the game to crash, including all DLCs)


LoD enhancement (higher-detail models and textures load from longer distances, performance-friendly objects always load from higher LoD regardless of distance, which reduces natural Elden Ring pop-ups).


Faster respawns (the death animation is still displayed, but skips three seconds before the game starts downloading when it turns black).


Improved grass (increases the amount and height of grass by ~20-50% depending on the type, and only slightly increases the draw distance).


Fixed Lategame enemy damage scaling (starts with vanilla damage in the starting area, but the curve is not as steep, so enemies in the Lategame area deal ~25% less damage and can prevent enemies of Lategame from dealing them one shot).


Modified Rack Breakdown for NG+ enemies (reduces the additional NG+ Rack from 40% to 10% per NG+ cycle, allowing Rack Breaker Builds to operate).


Increase HP enemies (30% increase HP enemies in base game, DLC and all NG+ cycles).



We recommend that you use modengine 2 instead of overwriting your own regulations.bin file. If your game has version 1.12.3 or higher, you can also edit your own regulations.bin file using the Smithbox .csv file. nexus and other sites have plenty of tutorials on how to do this. I will not offer help in how easy it is to learn, as there are already textbooks and a lot of documentation in the public domain. If you only need parts of my mod, here is a CSV file and a brief description of its functionality
