About This Mod

The game adds a number of modifiers that improve replayability and smoothness, reduce irritation, and increase variety and complexity.


Randomizer Elden Ring rebuilds Elden Ring for player vs. player races and other short races. Its goal is to increase the game's smoothness and speed, as well as reduce irritation, time loss and repetitive gameplay, which can become tedious. In addition, the game is designed to increase replayability by randomly selecting enemies and items, adding various game modes and numerous modifiers and options. However, The Elden Ring's core gameplay, such as combat mechanics, has not undergone major changes. It is still The Elden Ring, but its structure has been modified and rethought to shorten the game's time.


Note: Randomizer Races is designed to be used in conjunction with thefifthmatt's "Object and Enemy Randomizer". It is now a mandatory condition, but in the future it can be modified to allow it to be used separately (but the game is always designed to play with random objects and enemies).

Note: Currently only one game mode is supported - Randomiser Bingo. If you're not interested in Bingo mode, please wait until more traditional racing mode is complete (although Bingo is a great format for Elden Ring, try it).





The race randomizer will significantly change the way Elden Ring progresses. Players begin in the randomly chosen Land of Blessing in one of the five regions of the world, including the Heritage Dungeon. At the beginning of the game, players receive the following basic items: a red/crimson flask, a Spectral Steed Flute flute, a Mysterious Medicine Flask flask, a Summoning Bell bell, and a Crafting Kit set that allows them to start the game immediately. It also allows players to upgrade immediately.



Starting subjects


The world is bidirectional and cyclic, allowing players to move around it in both directions, including between Kerid and Mountain Top. Players will have to navigate through dangerous dungeons to reach other regions. Alternatively, they can take safer routes in exchange for the Stonesword keys they receive for completing assignments in the world. In order to avoid the blind throwing of objects, etc., the game retained few of the typical vanilla progressions (such as the Great Fleece requirements), and instead progressions became more consistent and skill-based.

Some other natural routes have also been created to allow for interesting paths. For example, four bell towers in Lulnia have become more useful, linking their destinations to their surrounding territories. Of course, as usual, access to them requires a Infused Key key. 1st bell tower, Farum Azra: Gives access to the main part of Farum Azra across the ruin bridge.

Second bell tower, to Knokron: allows you to jump into the Chiofra River, which will take you to Rimgrave.

The third bell tower, to the Chapel of Vision: unchanged (so far).

There is also a fourth bell tower to Knoxtel: it is now possible to climb to the top of Knoxtel.

In addition, a new area that acts as a warp zone has been added. The Golden Crown Terrace sits atop Eldestri and is connected to all four sides of the Interland. To get there, you need to find the password to the gate and one of several items that will take you to the terrace.

Finally, traders have been moved to more interesting locations, making it difficult to access the sources of these important items. Some traders are outside the small dungeons, and others are behind the seal of the statue of Bes. Several new visitors have also been added to the Round Table, giving players more opportunities to build.

The character's progression has been rebalanced in several directions to make it more suitable for short games:

Leveling costs have been reduced, allowing players to reach the final levels (130+) in less time (2-3 hours).

Modernization materials and other items have been greatly redistributed, allowing for the creation of equipment for the final game, such as weapons, soul ashes, hoes, and amulet bags.

The forge stones have been updated to allow the use of several weapons, including the two-handed.

New classes.

There are more than 25 randomly generated special classes in the game; although classes are of little importance in Elden Ring and can be built in any direction, you will find that some classes start with special requirements.


Redesigned weapon improvement system

The weapons improvement system has been redesigned to make more diverse scenarios, such as double-handedness or the use of multiple weapons. It is usually very difficult to find enough smithy stones to improve several weapons (or even one weapon in some cases) in one random approach. In the updated system, the level of upgrade of all weapons is determined by the number of stones, but there is no need to devote more resources to one weapon than another (note that you also have this option if you really want a less balanced conventional upgrade system).

A race randomizer randomizes dungeon entrances. The default is one type of dungeon (Catacombs, Cave/Tunnel,

Heroes' Cemetery, Old Dungeon) will be randomized within their pools.

The dungeon's goals.

Dungeons play an important role in Race Randomiser and have been redesigned to become more complex and interactive. Mostly.

Most targets were added to the dungeons of Legacy and Minor.


Adding targets to heritage dungeons is intended to solve the problem of players going the same critical way by playing over and over again. Legacy dungeon tasks require players to memorize the entire dungeon, its various paths, and its areas. The objective in each old dungeon is different, but players usually have to reach different places in the dungeon and interact (and usually destroy) with objects chosen randomly from a pre-compiled list of items.

In smaller dungeons, the goals of additional tasks are similar. They are designed to increase interaction with the dungeon as a whole, and especially with enemies that are mostly ignored when they replay. Targets are randomly chosen for each dungeon, and the following targets are currently possible in smaller dungeons

Hunt enemies: Kill X enemies.

Ghost Hunt: Defeat X purple ghosts (some enemies become stronger).

Item Hunt: Collect certain items in the dungeon.

Normal: only vanilla targets (levers in catacombs, nothing in caves/tunnels).


Note that dungeon targets also increase the reward for completing the dungeon.





Randomizers of races are designed to make the game smoother and faster, as well as eliminate annoyances and time wasting that may be appropriate in a normal game, but become tedious when replaying.

Modifiers for small dungeons

In smaller dungeons, the main modifier is the Test, which imposes additional requirements (in addition to the dungeon target) for dungeon passage. Challenges require players to equip certain items, defeat enemies in a certain way, or complete a dungeon in a certain amount of time.

The tests are randomly selected and the following tests are now possible

   

Unequipped: The player cannot be equipped with either armor or enchantments.

Godwin Bet: The player accumulates Deathbearer over time and must clear the dungeon before being able to receive Deathbearer.

Disguise: Enemies in the dungeon become invisible.

Reflection: Weakened in the dungeon, but gains a temporarily enhanced Mimic Tear ability.

Immortality: If a player dies in a dungeon, he is permanently out of it.

Fragility: The player must clear the dungeon before being attacked.

   

Small dungeons also have two modifiers, except for the tests:

Darkness: The dungeon is completely obscured until it is completely black. It is recommended that you bring a light.

Sealing: The dungeon lures the player into a trap, and rapid movement becomes impossible.

Various game modes are planned, some of which are traditional races to achieve certain goals, for example. However, the main mode was originally developed as Randomiser Bingo mode, as this format is more suitable for the open world of Eldenring.


Randomizer Bingo.

In Bingo, players compete to be the first to pass a randomly set target. It can be a certain number of dungeons, a certain way of defeating a boss, a certain location, etc. Race Randomiser has a bingo generator that is suitable for random generators that semi-generate many types of targets. For example, defeating a boss without using Crimson Flask or defeating a boss with fists.

Race Randomiser has a sophisticated hint system that gives players information about the chaos in the world they are generating. These clues can be found by chance, obtained by going through dungeons, or read from the monuments of the sword. Clues contain information about important dungeon bosses, important items and locations in dungeons, and bingo goals.

The new Discovery Stone item can be used to learn information about dungeon bosses (such as the type and power of a boss). In addition, Gideon became a merchant selling information, which requires a resource in the form of a new item of currency - blacksmith ink. This item, like the Stone Sword Keys, can be awarded as a non-random reward after completing various quests.

Objects-traps.

Some traps create dangerous obstacles when picked up. These can be spells directed at the player, debaffes that need to be fought temporarily, or transfer traps that randomly move the player to another location. Traps are designed to be fair, and usually have some countermeasures if the player reacts quickly. If the player is trapped in a transfer at the wrong moment, they lose time, but sometimes they can get them to the right place.

Levels of development and other

The level of weapon development and soul ash is determined randomly, so you can meet more powerful weapons without spending resources to improve them. The amount of weapons can be doubled, so if you're lucky, you can make a double Darkmoon Greatsword that you've always wanted to try. Ashes of War weapons will also be randomized.


Reimagined objects

Some types of items, such as guns and ash showers, can be useless and frustrating when you already know what you're going to use, but find more than one, and the racial randomizer tries to increase the relevance of such items by creating variations of them.


Ash of the soul has the keyword "Temporary", which can be applied randomly to the ash of the soul. Temporary ash is consumed when used, but starts at a higher level (note that there is also a setting that completely disables ash for those who prefer to play solo).


The weapon has a "Curse" keyword that similarly allows the player to use a higher level weapon, but in return limits the player's HP when using it.


Balancing the Big Runes.

Several changes have been made to the balance of the Great Runes to make them more equal in value. For example, the Great Rune of Marenia was very unbalanced in the vanilla game and was improved to bring it into line with other runes. In addition, all Large Runes add stats when activated, contributing to health recovery even during runs.

To increase the value of the chests, an additional randomly generated loot will appear in the chests. Chests that are more difficult to obtain will receive a higher quality lute.
