About This Mod

Divergence mode (in any mission you can play as Nero, Dante or V), more collaborative missions, a four-player Bloody Palace co-op (Nero, Dante, V and Virgil), various graphics options and the ability to change bosses for the M19 and M20, the ability to adjust the players' dirt levels and overlay background music for the fight.

How to install and run the instructor

Download and install the latest build of REFramework from https://github.com/praydog/REFramework-nightly/releases- Download DMC5.zip and unpack it to the game directory ('Devil May Cry 5'). You only need dinput8.dll and the reframework folder; openvr_api.dll and openxr_loader.dll can be removed.

Extract the 'framework' folder from the DMCVTrainerDLLByDanteRaz0r.zip archive into 'Devil May Cry 5' (Mod Manager installation is also supported). The standard installation path is "C:◆Program Files (x86)◆Steam◆Steam◆Steamapps◆Common◆Devil May Cry 5". [CO-OP Trainer by Dante & Raz0r.


Graphics options:

Allows you to change graphics settings that cannot be configured in the in-game graphical menu.


Replacement boss: (requires Virgil DLC).

Replaces M19 and M20 bosses with Virgil campaign bosses.

You can also fight both bosses at the same time.

If you want to fight both bosses at the same time, it's best to use the boss's camera off feature.

Because this is an experimental feature, you should back up your save file before using it.

Known issues Lack of background music and incorrect captions in some settings.


Player mud option:

Select the character's contamination rating from the default missions, clean, dirty 1, and dirty 2. You can change it in the main menu.


Combat BGM:

The battle with the boss does not affect background music.


Floating pause menu.

Changes the pause menu to a floating menu when connected to another player. This menu does not pause the game or disable it during online play. Turn it off if you want to pause the game and intentionally disconnect.

To switch between these two modes, use the F1 hotkey.


Tougher enemies in CO-OP:

Automatically reduces damage done by players while playing together. Each player deals only X damage from the original, where X is the number of players fighting together.

Make sure this setting is the same for all members to optimize enemy drowning; not used in M7 and M13; can be changed using F2.


Extend player matching:

Allows you to team up with players far from your territory. You can activate in the middle of the game (activate Extend Pairing and then unpause). Useful if you're having trouble connecting to certain players. Switches by pressing F3.


Chit to automatically reconnect:

Activates automatically when Coop/Divergence is enabled; sets the Co-op timeout from 60 seconds to 0 seconds (suspending the game will instantly reconnect you).


Auto Skip:

Automatically skips introductory slide shows (any preset), interactions (e.g., Niedhogg jamming collection), and cutscenes.


Import save files: 

You can import other Steam users' save files.

1) Enable "Import Record Files" in the coach.

2) Save the coach settings.

3) Close the game.

4) Place the new save file in C:◆Program Files (x86)◆Steam◆userdata◆[usernumber]◆601150◆remote◆win64_save.

5) Start the game.

6) Optional: After saving the game, disable the "Import Save File" option and save the trainer settings again.

Please be sure to make a backup of your saved files, as we are not responsible for any loss of your saved data/files as a result of using this trainer.


Continuation of Bloody Palace.

You can start Bloody Palace at any stage. Customize the scene, character, time remaining, HP player, and DT on the title screen or main menu, press SET, and then press Continue on the title screen or main menu.

The SET button has nothing to do with CO-OP or DIVERGENCE.


COOP/DIVERGENCE: 

Allows players to play as Nero, Dante, and V in story missions.

In addition, a real-time cooperative game for three players (Nero, Dante, and V), similar to Mission 13, will be added to Bloody Palace Stages 1-100 and the following missions: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

Matchmaking works as follows: when you enter a mission, enter a new stage of Bloody Palace, or pause the game, the game automatically starts searching for available matches in the background. It takes about two seconds. If there are none, the game will automatically start playing matches in the background. The user can repeat this process an unlimited number of times, including pausing and unpausing.

If a mission or TP has problems with the automatic connection, the game can be paused, wait a few seconds (sometimes several times), and match-matching will begin.

If you play as Dante in Mission 7, you will be invisible to the vanilla DMC5 players, and the co-op will be disabled.

If you activate it before entering Bloody Palace/choosing a mission you want to play in, it will remain active without affecting other missions. Make sure you and your partner are friends on Steam, and turn on your friends priority in the game.

This will greatly simplify the selection of players. If one of the players has not yet played the game, all players must turn off the spoiler filter in the settings of the in-game network.

Matchmaking works as follows: Players who have completed the same mission at Human and Devil Hunter will be picked up in the same way as at Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die.

The limitations on the difficulty of co-op in Mission 13 also apply to this feature: It is not possible to play in a co-op in Heaven and Hell or Hell and Hell.

In the Bloody Palace, players who play at one stage are picked up by each other.

The following rules apply to the selection of players at the Bloody Palace: 

1) Matchmaking is possible only before the stage is cleared (before the last enemy dies).

2) Pair creation begins when the player moves to a new stage.

3) The bond is broken at the exit of the step and should be restored after appearing in the next step.

4) The conjugation does not occur during the Nero preparation phase.

5) Reconnect occurs automatically when entering a new phase, but in rare cases, you need to pause or unpause to reconnect.

6) It is not recommended to leave the stage at the same time as the other player.


Virgil's participation in the co-operative

Allows Virgil to participate in a cooperative session with three other players (Nero, Dante, and V) simultaneously (except Mission 7 and Mission 13; see below). 

Because this is an experimental feature, you should back up your save file before using it.

Activate it before choosing Mission/Bloody Palace.

When Vergil in Collaboration is enabled, only those with the feature enabled participate in match meetings, regardless of who plays for Virgil.

Virgil's attack Summoned Sword is not synchronized visually in the co-op (players playing as Virgil are free to use it and interact with enemies accordingly).

Attacks by Doppelganger and World of V are still available in the co-op, but Doppelganger and V will not spoil to increase stability and prevent bugs that violate the game.

The Star UI element does not appear when a third player joins a 4-player co-op (this is a visual error that has no effect on the gameplay). Known Issues 

1) In missions 3 and 15, if there is a co-player nearby, if all enemies in the area in front are killed, the inferno platform associated with that enemy may not be activated. Fixed in version 1.0.2.

.

2) In very rare cases, enemies may not be fully synchronized when entering a new zone (missing enemies). Pause and reopen the game, connect and recreate missing enemies, or wait for your co-op partner to beat them before continuing.

3) If you have just completed a cooperative mission or Blood Palace stage, you may need to wager and unpause once to reset the network and allow you to connect to other players.

4) Mission 17's victory over Urizen was not synchronized between players, causing one player to finish the fight before the other. Fixed in version 1.0.3.

5) To use the character selector, you must unlock at least one of the main character's outfits for a cooperative mission. Otherwise, the character selection screen will not appear. Fixed in version 1.0.2.

6) V is AI-controlled, making it impossible to get out of Mission 0. Fixed in version 1.0.8.

7) The boss of Mission 1 Qliphoth Root has a hard time attacking players.

8) The AI of boss Nidhogg in mission 4 (especially his tentacles) is not synchronized correctly, there are also problems with HP synchronization.

9) An old knight, Gerion, from Mission 5, may accidentally become stuck forever.

10) Urizen's crystals do not sync correctly between players.

11) Angelo in Cavaliere can accidentally teleport out of range during a game together. This problem appears to be more common in DMD. Fixed in version 1.0.6.

12) In rare cases, in a joint battle with Urizen, one of the players can instantly move from the first stage (sitting) to the next.

13) After defeating the Blood Palace boss, the HP strip is no longer displayed. Fixed in version 1.0.6.

14) The current connected player ("Starring.") is sometimes not displayed in the Blood Palace. Fixed in version 1.0.9.



Frequently Asked Questions 

S: What versions of the game does the trailer support?

A: TU6, released on Steam on December 15, 2020 (including a minor Copyright patch released on December 16, 2021, and a minor patch released on April 24, 2023).


Q: How do I move through zones with Nero's capture points (e.g. Mission 3) while playing as Divergence/Corp in Dante or V?

A: Use Dante's air or ground cheat (cheat style update required to unlock) or gambit V (lock + style button) if they are blocked.


Q: Will the remaining missions/phases of BP 101 be added?

A: In Mission 6, Gilgamesh's movement in the scene does not synchronize correctly between the players.

Mission 18 has a problem with incorrect synchronization of HP AI and the boss. The problem with missions 19-20 and stage 101 BP is that Virgil's AI always shuts down one of the two players while playing together.


S: why aren't objects like the Helltree kernel (a red blood bag) and the lava escalator in Mission 8 synchronized correctly between players?

A: This is due to Capcom settings: in some missions, Helltree kernels are synchronized correctly, but in most missions they are not synchronized at all.


Q: My computer does not allow me to activate the trailer.

A: This is probably caused by an antivirus or Windows Defender; for Windows Defender, click More Info => Run/Run.


S: can I use the option of choosing a coach character without a co-op?

A: Yes, just disconnect the network connection in the game settings.
