About This Mod

Key Features

- New menu for color theme customization (main_colors.inkstyle), Johnny theme colors are also supported (main_colors_johnny.inkstyle)

- New controls for color management

- A few basic widget previews that show related color changes while editing them

- Create and use as many presets as you want, each color preset uses its own json file, which you can save or share with other users.

How to use

1. Launch the game and upload the save file.

2. Go to the pause menu and select HUD Painter.

3. Change colors to your liking and save changes as a new preset

4. Activate the preset you just created

5. Restart the game (or at least run save-load) and enjoy the new color theme

Important note

The game uses the so-called HDRColor for coloring widgets, and it can give a glow effect, but this effect does not work until the save is loaded (i.e. the colors of the pregame menu will not have any glow), and I have not yet found a way to fix it. So at the moment it is better to use the HUD Painter Preflight menu to switch between presets if you have them, but for color editing I would recommend using the mod from the Pause menu after downloading the save game.

Color selector controls

- Default color block shows preview of game's base color, custom color shows edited color

- Red / Green / Blue sliders allow you to change the current selected color

- Copy / Paste buttons allow you to copy selected color values to different colors. When copying any color, you can paste it as many times as you need until you click the Cancel button.

- The Reset Color button resets the color to the base preset color

- The HEX button allows you to enter a hexadecimal color value (RGB, no alpha).

Please note that all color changes are applied only when loading the game or when pressing the Activate button on the selected preset. Therefore, if you save edits on top of an existing preset, you can switch to default first and then go back to the updated one. But I would recommend restarting the game anyway, so that it can fully apply the new color scheme. In addition, if a widget is already generated, it may have old colors until you restart the game.

Presets are stored in the Cyberpunk folder 2077\r6\storages\HUDPainter as separate .json files that you can share with other users (do not delete the DEFAULT.json file, otherwise the mod will not work).

How to customize the world map menu

If you enable the Enable custom colors option in the HUD Painter Fashion Settings menu, the world map will use the selected colors from the game's color theme instead of hard-coded red and blue tones. You can change the geometry and edges of buildings, roads, road boundaries, and metro lines, as well as the overall brightness and saturation. The selected colors are applied when you open the menu, so you do not need to restart the game, just close the world map before changing the colors.

Menu Backgrounds

The color theme of the game does not allow to completely change the menu backgrounds, so I uploaded the project WolvenKit, which contains unfinished textures, and if you are familiar with the modding of the game, you can edit it at your discretion and use it as a mod.
