About This Mod

Opens the map only while you are moving and hides it when you are walking, and also moves the quest tracker to a corner. Supplied with additional CET key binding. Updated for 2.0+image 1 for Immersive GPS - Mini Card for Driving Only

This mod automatically disables the card if you walk, and turns it on if you are in the vehicle. It also moves the quest tracker to a corner of the screen while the map is off. Comes with optional CET key binding to switch between Driving-Only, On and Off. No configuration is required.


It also comes with an optional setting in Native Settings UI for compatibility with HUDitor and other HUD mods.


Why?


I looked at the map too often during the game, which is very frustrating, because the design of the world is incredible. I think that the game as a whole is better played without a map, the waypoint system provides navigation on your feet, but you need to turn it on to ride normally. In my opinion, the ideal solution is to make a map not a conventional map, and car GPS.


Also, I originally wrote this because I wanted to make the HUD more like the original 2018 demo, while allowing me to drive normally, and the quest tracker movement was part of that task.


It should be noted that while Limited HUD is a more customizable solution for restricting the user interface and has a driving-only functionality without overriding the in-game settings, it does not move the quest tracker the way I needed it, so here is this article. I definitely recommend Limited HUD if you need something more customizable (both mods can also work together if you have some use case, but I haven't tested it).
