About This Mod
TLDR
Speedometer fixed.
The CVO is redesigned for more realism and diversity.
The CMS has been redesigned to complement the changes in the car and offer more tuning options.
OVERVIEW
Other top modders provided amazing tools to improve vanilla driving, but I was still not happy with the overall experience.
As a motorsport enthusiast, I wanted to replicate the experience of driving/tuning different types of cars, while maintaining style and fun.
After much work and testing, I found a solution for the balance between Sim and Arcade within the internal logic of the game world and engine.
SPEEDO
The vanilla speedometer shows "MPH", but the speed is clearly displayed in KPH.
Accurate Speedometer solves this problem, but by default uses a value that is too low for my purposes.
This mod uses the standard kilometer-to-mile ratio, because it works best overall, and that's how I set up the whole thing.
VEHICLES
Using the Cyber Vehicle Overhaul, each car was modeled on a real-world counterpart for speed, acceleration, braking, and handling.
Drive axle, motor position, etc. - now these things matter more and have much more meaning.

Speed - it's getting faster, with a much wider range of features. (Shion - fast and nimble, Type-66 - animal for drag, etc.)
Braking - Braking torque is much lower, so there is no permanent skidding or wheel lock, and stopping distance is increased (still shorter than in IRL).
Handling - Front-engine cars do not turn well and feel heavy. Rear-engine vehicles turn too much and may break down. Bicycles don't slide like you're riding through mud.
Weight - All cars are a little heavier, as I found it helps them to behave much better, especially at high speeds.
Injuries - more health than vanilla, but less than in CVO. Cosmetic damage is much easier to inflict.
GARAGE
Modification shop parts are redesigned to match changes in cars and offer more tuning options, with many new trade-offs to consider.
The descriptions have been edited to explain the new effects, although unfortunately not all metrics can be displayed in the user interface.
The linear path of modernization is no longer so obvious, levels are more like price levels, and the returns to elite parts are diminishing.
Power - there is a huge increase available, but nothing like doubling or tripling horsepower, because the speed is already high enough. Turbo engines increase weight.
Brakes - Braking torque will help you drive the stopping distance, but tires do more. If too much torque is added, the wheels will simply lock. It's best to set it up.
Tires - Sports tires are a good option for modernization. Racing - the best in general. Drag Radials tires offer the greatest traction on the road through lateral traction... a lot of drift?
Suspension - some soft, some tough, as well as a new off-road elevator. The ability to increase or decrease the body roll for better steering in cornering.
Transaxle - Reduces the number of shifts, improves response and repairs to maximize speed by reducing torque. No new shows.
Weight loss is minor change, but substantial weight loss is still possible.
NOTES
This model is for controllers. Control the trigger. (If you ride with KB/M, then YMMV... May God have mercy on your soul).
If you like, you can start working immediately, but I strongly recommend starting slowly, as the changes can seem quite radical - especially braking.

INSTALLATION
Download and install the base mods (and their requirements) in the order they are numbered. Without them, this fashion will not work.
Approve each basic mod.
Download and install this mod by overwriting it when prompted.
