Read all the fragments
About This Mod
This mod allows you to automatically read all the fragments in the "Shards" menu by clicking on one of two new buttons:
- Read New - read all unread fragments (marked as New),
- Read All - read all fragments regardless of their condition.
Quest-related fragments update quests when they are automatically read (e.g., update quest targets as if they were manually read).
However, I would recommend reading these pieces in the first place to keep up with the plot when playing the game.
Sometimes they may contain supporting information, such as a prompt or access code.
When should I use Read New or Read All if both seem to be doing the same thing?
If you are not using other modes that react to reading fragments (common cases), take the "Read new".
Take "Read All" if you're using mods that expect some shards to be read, even if you've already read them manually before (special cases).
From a technical point of view, "Read New" runs faster and generates fewer CPU loads than "Read All" because it updates the game only on unread fragments.
What he doesn't do:
- he doesn't read encrypted fragments. These fragments are skipped, and if they have been marked as "New", they remain in such a state that you can easily identify them,
- does not read user fragments not registered in the game quest database (for example, fragments added by other mods).

Special use cases in versions of the game up to v2:
1) Combined with the Missing Persons mod, it switches the fragment reading method from instant backstage updates to on-screen scrolling.
This is necessary to support the way another mod handles reading of fragments.
However, this method has some side effects:
- Reading the fragments takes longer, as you have to scroll through the entire list on the screen.
- It is a bit noisy, as it is accompanied by the sounds of the game's user interface, which are not subject to this fashion.
- Some of the fragmentation group headers may not remove the New flag even though all fragments in the group have already been read.
In fact, this is how the game works, if you do it manually - they will be completely updated the next time you visit the menu "Shards".
I would recommend that you disable fragment sorting in Missing Persons's fashion settings, as it significantly slows down the update of the fragment menu, and there is no special need for it when reading all fragments.
2) If you combine this mod with Missing Persons and Find-EX mods, and then use the Find-EX search box to filter the list of splinters, this mod may not read the splinters outside the displayed list.
For best results, please use it in the unfiltered shrapnel list in this case.

Game v1.63 - 2.1+
Not tested with earlier versions.
CET 1.29.0 is not supported due to numerous problems in this version.

Install or update:
automatically - use the Vortex manager. Note that sometimes it may not work properly due to Vortex issues.
manual - insert the extracted bin folder into the game folder. Allow files to be overwritten if requested.
Uninstall:
automatically - use Vortex manager if it has been installed by Vortex.
