About This Mod

Adds adjustable green arrows over one-way streets to make it easier to see which way they are heading.

Updated in real time as you build one-way roads and change direction. Also available in the Resource Editor.

Arrows can be circular (default) or flat. See the Configuration section below.

The toggle button for turning the arrows on and off is located on the road panel to the left of the toggle snap button. You can also use the period key to toggle the arrows.

Arrows appearing in purple indicate "suspicious" one-way streets. These are one-way streets that connect directly to two-way streets, which block half of the lanes for a two-way street. This makes it easier to find streets that may have been accidentally turned into one-way streets.

Tunnels:

Arrows for tunnels are drawn in "underground mode". There may be a slight delay in drawing arrows or hiding arrows when entering or exiting underground mode.

Configuration:

Right-click the arrow radio button to open the Mode Settings panel.

Arrows can also be adjusted by editing one_way_street_arrows_options.xml to find in the game folder. The arrows are automatically updated when the file is changed.

The following options are supported:

- arrowColor: Color of normal arrows. The default color is green. Alpha is not supported.

- errorArrowColor: Color arrows for suspicious one-way roads. The default color is magenta. Alpha is not supported.

- arrowOffset: Where to place round arrows relative to the center of the road. The default is 6 units above the center.

- flatArrowOffset: Where to position flat arrows relative to the center of the road. The default is 2 units above the center.

- arrowType: Type of arrow to use. Possible values are 'Round' and 'Flat'. The default value is "Round".

- arrowDimensions: Size of round arrows.

- flatArrowDimensions: The size of the flat hands.

- hideWithRoadsPanel: Should the arrows be turned off when closing the road panel. Either true or false. The default value is true.

- arrowToggleButtonPositionInGame, arrowToggleButtonPositionInEditor: The position of the button in the game or in the editor relative to the Toggle Snapping button. By default (-38, 0) in the game and (0, 46) in the editor.

- arrowToggleButtonSizeInGame, arrowToggleButtonSizeEditor: The size of the button in the game or editor. The default is 36×36 in both cases.

- arrowToggleShortcutKey: Hot key used to switch arrows (e.g. ".", "o", "backspace", "f8", etc.). The default is a period (".").

Known Issues:

- Arrows are not displayed for tunnels Arrows should be displayed for tunnels.

- The arrows point in the opposite direction for the left-hand rudder. Works correctly with left-hand drive cards.

- Deleting roads by clicking and dragging with a bulldozer sometimes does not update arrows. Turn the arrows off and back on to refresh your data.

- Arrows appear for harbors and airports. Arrows are no longer displayed for airports or harbors. Riflemen are reappearing for the airport's roads.

- A slight delay in drawing or hiding arrows for tunnels.
