About This Mod

Challenges is a mod that is designed to introduce some complexity to Cities Skylines.

Update 1.1

- Added a kill option for all tests

- Added rewards for completing tasks. They are not yet in all the challenges.

- Added penalties for failure or technical failure in the test.

"Rewards have been added that actively boost aspects of the game, such as housing demand.

- The test options panel has been moved to the in-game environment. Pressing Ctrl+C will bring up the menu

- Tasks and rewards are saved correctly and loaded from the save file.

"Setting goals is easier than ever. They can be written in a separate XML in the Challenges folder in the game catalog.

- An external tool [github.com] has been created to package custom test files for upload to the Steam workshop

How to get this mod?

Click the green "Subscribe" button above. The next time you download Cities Skylines, the mod will be available in the Content Manager from the main menu.

How to use this mod?

In the game, pressing Ctrl+C will switch the test options bar.

Review installed jobs to run one job. Click the green Select button to start the contest.

Ctrl+C will cycle through these windows.

Can I create my own tasks?

YEAH! All tasks are located in the "Challenges.xml" file in the "Challenges" folder in the game root directory. Do not hesitate to modify it to accommodate more complex or complex tasks. Starting with the 1.1 update, you can add your own XML files to this directory. Here[github.com] is the documentation for creating your own challenge.

You can make changes to any XML files in real time. Just remember to press the refresh button in the job parameters to download all the changes.
