Skyve [BETA]

Skyve is your universal mod manager for Cities: Skylines II and PDX Mods. It is a separate application that can be used outside the game, to manage sets, download or update mods, watch PDX Mods and more.

Installation

After adding Skyve to your game set, the "Install Skyve" button will appear in the main menu. Clicking on it will start the installation process in one click and open the Skyve application when finished.

The installed Skyve application will be available in the list of Windows applications.

* Note that this is a standard application installation that requires permission to manage the user account. To be completely removed from the list of applications, you will need to remove it.

Functionality

PDX Mods Integration

Skyve offers PDX Mods features similar to those in the game. You'll be able to browse PDX Mods directly from Skyve, as well as:

- Subscribe and unsubscribe from mods.

- Download new or update already signed mods.

- Manage sets and enable/disable mods in them.

Skyve also supports bulk actions:

- Subscribe/unsubscribe/enable/disable multiple mods at the same time.

- Add or remove mods from all your sets at once.

- Combine or exclude mods from the current set based on another.

Compatibility Management

Skyve has an online compatibility catalog that provides up-to-date compatibility information for mods used.

Some, but not all, features include

- Warning about mod incompatibility with the latest game update.

- Notifications of inoperability or obsolescence of the mod.

- Warnings about incompatibility of two or more mods used or about duplicate functions.

- Warnings about mods that can damage saving if you stop using them.

- Reports of the availability of newer alternatives to the mods used.

- Warnings about non-fulfillment of requirements for operation of active mods.

Skyve displays these warnings when you view mods, allowing you to evaluate potential issues before subscribing.

You will also have a compatibility report page showing all the issues with your mods and a button to automatically fix them with a single click.

Out-of-game controls

Skyve is designed for off-the-game use, allowing the game to update its mods without running the game.

This way, you don't have to wait for the game to download updates and restart the game to start playing.

You can also freely browse new mods and change the active set, avoiding many reboots.

Stay up to date with updates

After Skyve is installed, the background service will start to keep your mods up to date.

If you don't have enough Steam automatic updates to relieve you from worrying about hundreds of updates after a long week... This is the solution for you.

Help and Troubleshooting

Skyve has a Help & Logs tab. It provides quick access to information about errors that occurred in the last game session.

If you are unsure of the error value, use the Log Report feature to gather all the necessary files into a single zip archive that can be easily sent to anyone for assistance.

An automated troubleshooting process in Skyve will be available shortly to help you identify problem mods.
