About This Mod

Move It v0.2.8

Move trees, decors, buildings, nodes, and segment curves - click M to activate the tool, or click the Move It icon in the lower-right corner.


Selection:

Left-click to select an object, Shift+click to add an unselected object to the selection, click on the selected object to deselect it, press Control+M, or check the option to switch to selection mode. When selection mode is on, you can drag rectangles to select multiple objects. Right-click to deselect and hide all control points.


Move:

Left-click and drag to move selection, right-click and drag to rotate selection; Alt+right-click and drag to rotate 45 degree increments.


To reshape an individual segment, Alt-drag it to the center point between nodes and lock it in a flat position.


Manipulation:

In Manipulate mode, you can change the appearance of an object.


To enter manipulation mode, press Alt+M or Alt+click on an object that you can manipulate; to exit manipulation mode, press Alt+M or right-click. Currently, you can only manipulate segments.


Segment manipulation - You can move two anchor joints, two curve points, and control points for all three axes. This is a very powerful tool, and excessive changes can lead to visual interference and traffic routing violation. For nodal connections, Alt-drag to the node and snap to the node position. For curve points, Alt-drag a third of the path between two segment nodes and snap to a straight line.


Keys.

- M - turns the tool on or off (vanilla link M must be turned off).

- Control+M - toggles selection of the selection area.

- Alt+M - toggles the manipulation mode.

- Alt+D - deselect.

- Page Up/Down - moves the selected object vertically.

- Control+Z - deselect.

- Control+Shift+Z - Repeat.

- Alt+Alt - Snap 45 degree rotation and snap segments as above.


Known issues.

- Forcing anti-aliasing mode, which is not supported in CS2, may result in loss of overlay; do not use TAA as it will result in loss of overlay.

"Connections between buildings and roads are vulnerable to destruction. To solve this problem, try moving buildings away from the road and back away from it.

- By default, the M key is set to a rather trivial kind of information.

ยท Terrain tracking is not yet available.

- There are performance issues, especially with very large allocations.


This is the alpha version of Move It. Save it more often and save another.
