Clyde mod 1.6.7.3

Clyde is a graphical user interface (GUI) for the apocalyptech bl3-cli-saveedit command-line application, a Borderlands 3 software application that works with save files. As a front end, Clyde is just a convenient tool. It does nothing by itself - you need to have bl3-cli-saveedit to modify the save files.

You can get bl3-cli-saveedit from Github or pypi.org. Follow the instructions at any location to install. It's written in Python, so you'll also need Python if you don't already have one. If you don't have Python, it seems to be easier if you install it only under your user (and not for all users), and make sure you find a place to add it to your path.

In addition to formatting the command-line options for bl3-cli-saveedit, Clyde automates the task of backing up save files. You can also copy the saved files to a location you choose, such as a flash drive or network share, at any time.

Here's the thing. You're messing with the game's save files. You are responsible for what happens to them. Although Clyde has been thoroughly tested, strange things can happen at any moment. You must create your own level of trust in the program by backing up your save files often enough not to lose your hard-won beautiful weapon or erase the most brutal scumbag battle of all time. I know what I'm doing.

Prerequisites

Clyde was created using NET framework 4.8. It is likely that you already have one. If not, download from the Microsoft website.

bl3-cli-saveedit - script executables are created when the package is installed. Clyde needs executable versions.

Installer

Clyde now has an installer. The installer requires elevated privileges to create shortcuts on the desktop and Start menu, and to record deletion information.

If you prefer to install the program manually, download the free files and follow the instructions below under Quick Start or Installation.

If you want to upgrade the program, you only need to download the files (in the zip archive) and place them in the Clyde directory, but the installer is also able to perform the upgrade.

The installer does not install the Python or the bl3-cli-saveedit; you will still have to install them. I recommend installing Python only under your user, not all users, and make sure you find and tick the "add python to path" box.

If the installer can find executable versions of Python scripts, it will copy them to your Save Edit directory.
