About This Mod

Fashion Bags Bags Bags Bags - REFORGED! - is a reworking and expansion of the excellent but long dormant game Bags Bags Bags by Liareth.


1. New Bags: It includes 40 (yes, 40) new bags that will help you organize all your accumulated items and equipment.

  • All bags have their own icons and tooltips.
  • These are indecent bags, so they stay where you put them. There are indescribable substitutions of alchemy by default, camp supplies and bags with keys.
  • Some bags are automatically filtered, which means they automatically collect items that you pick up.
  • Others support manual filtering, which means that they will be highlighted or grayed out in your inventory depending on whether you drag an item that belongs to them or not.
  • The rest are universal and will take whatever you want to put in them.

2. Summon bags: 30 of these bags are summoned using a new item, the Neterez Ring Organization, which can be used to summon as many copies of these bags as you wish - the merchants are not needed.




3. In addition, all companions come with a unique bag instead of standard bags.




Receiving bags


To get the bags, you need to find the Neterez Ring of the Organization, which can be found in the training chest on the Nautiloid.


If you are trained, any mod that allows you to summon a training chest will suit you. I highly recommend the mod Pouch of Wonders, from LennardF1989 for simplicity and convenience of use. If you USE Pouch of Wonders, you only need a basic fashion file - I added the ring directly to the treasure table of Pouch itself.


Once you have the ring, put it on to access the Summoning Bag spellPut this spell on yourself or one of your companions and the bags will appear in their inventory. Repeat this process each time to copy the packages.

If you are setting a mod on an existing save, your companions may not have a personal bag. In this case, use the ring to play the Summon of Doom bag on all the companions who need their personal bag and it will be added to their inventory.

this fashion has 4 types of bags:


1. Automatic bag filtering: These bags will automatically draw into themselves items of the appropriate type if:

  • A new subject is being selected
  • The bag is taken or moved between the stocks.


They do not accept objects of any other type.


TIP: They will NOT retrieve items that the group already has that are transferred between members of the group or between containers - this is how the base game works. If you have items in your bag or inventory that you want the bag with automatic filtration to suck, simply move the bag to another inventory and back.


2. Handheld bags: These bags do nothing automatically, but they are programmed to receive a certain type of items. When you drag an item, bags designed to receive the item light up and all other bags turn gray. This will help you quickly find the right bag(s) for an item or items in your inventory.


TIP: Due to a (convenient) bug in the base game, you can still put items that "don't belong" in a manual filtering package if you like. When you drag an item you want to move and hover over a manual filtering package that should not accept the item, it turns gray and displays the "Item cannot be placed in this container" pop-up prompt. However, if you throw an item into the bag, it will be delivered into the bag - at least until Larian fixes this error.


3. Non-filtering bags: These bags do not carry out any filtration and accept any items.


4. Companion bags: I made a unique, non-filtering bag for each of the ten companions. These bags do not originate from the Neterez Ring of the Organization or the Storage Bag - they are in the inventory of each companion. Use them the way you like.



Compatibility and Risk


Installing this mod is not without risks you should know. These are risks that I'm willing to take in my own passage, but you need to know what it is.


1. Basic Game Overrides: I had to override ~25 items from the base game for the sorting to work properly. To put the companion bags in their starting stock, I had to redefine their starting stock. What risks does this pose?

  • If the other mod you are using changes the same files, the last one in the order you downloaded will override the changes made by the other. In the case of this mod, if my changes are overwritten by another mod, some items will no longer be sorted correctly, and companions may appear without bags.
  • If Larian changes these items in the update, my old version of the item will override the new one. This may have no effect or completely break the game or something in between.


I think the risk is low as I don't *expect* Larian to change these items a lot, and for me it's easy to fix if they do, but it's *possible* that your save can be completely removed after the patch until I fix this mod. If I never fix it? You.

2. Removal may be impossible: Fashion bags are difficult to remove because bags contain other items. You can try to clean up and then delete all instances of all containers before deleting the .pak file, but you may still have problems. You should probably schedule this mod to be active for any save you use it on.


This means that you are exposed to the last risk I mentioned once you have agreed. In the worst case, when this mod breaks your save after the patch, until I fix it, you can't just delete the mod and play without it.
