Deadly Boss Mods (DBM)
About This Mod
Features.
Fashions for raids, dungeons, special events and guild debaffes
Color alerts for raids with icons and scatter messages (players are color-coded by class); DBM aims to let you know what you need to do for something, rather than simply display the spell's name.
The focus is on filtering/hiding things you don't need to know for your role (or things you can't do about, like scattering/interrupting in standby) so you can focus on the really needed information, but the ability to turn these filters off is also left to leaders who want to see a broader view of what's going on during the battle.
Auto-reply during boss fight; DBM tells whisperer that you are busy during boss fight. The message will indicate the boss's name, strength and raid status. This feature is completely optional and can be disabled by the player or raid leader for the entire group.
As the bar nears its expiration date, you can increase it with special effects.
In addition to the remaining time, the bar shows in color and icon which abilities are coming and what their role is; DBM aims to make these stripes understandable at a glance.
DK Accident/Recovery: You have had a crash or crash in the middle of a boss fight - with DBM it's no problem! DBM will request timer and battle status information from other DBM users in the raid group and restore your timer.
Information Frames - Used to display combat overview and specific combat mechanics, allowing you to quickly get the information you need.
Modular design - all bosses modes are add-ons and can be individually modified, deleted or updated.
Download on demand - all bosses modes are separate plugins and are loaded as needed. Therefore, they do not use memory or CPU until you log in to the appropriate instance.
Special effects such as flashes on the screen, large warning messages and sounds to draw your attention to important events. These flashes and sounds can be customized to fit your needs.
SharedMedia support allows you to use any texture you want for your bars and makes it easier to select sounds from external sources.
Support for skirmishes on the PTR/Beta test, since DBM is a mode that provides an extended autolearning timer only in the middle of the test, so you know what will happen before someone sees the battle.
Support for multilingual sound packs. Each mod carefully considers which sound is best for the warning and gives clear and concise advice on how to act on the warning. There are no generic names for TTS spells - DBM sound packages say things that make sense, not just add noise that can be ignored.
All the features that make sense have great callbacks that the author can use to integrate WeakAuras as much as possible.
