Now let's talk about efficiency. As you can see from the figures, all stations have names, so they are easy to explain.
Let's start with a small example. If superluminal stations D and F want to be loaded at the road cargo station and unloaded at the factory (e.g. in the south, in the figure there is no), they first go to the cargo station, are loaded, then go to G, H and I and are unloaded at the factory. They then search for the shortest distance to the cargo station and try to load again. The shortest route is likely to pass through H and north to the cargo station. Since only one FLT can connect to the loading station on each side, all FLTs end at this point, and the loading station is unloaded by only one FLT at a time.
In my opinion, there is a more efficient way to load road freight stations: If the FLT D station is intended to be loaded at the loading station and unloaded at the S4 depot, then the FLT at the G station can be loaded directly from the depot and unloaded on site. This avoids waiting times at H, provides three transfers to a truck station, and allows FLT to travel the shortest distance between destinations. We tested this with six FLTs, and there was still a queue between the destinations.
If F, S2 and I do the same, and the FLT H station loads and unloads directly between the cargo station and the factory, then a total of three FLT stations (20 FLT) will load and unload at the cargo station and three FLT stations (20 FLT) will load and unload at the factory if the FLT ABC station is installed.
With the installation of the FLT ABC station, 20 more FLTs can be loaded and unloaded. A fourth live connection can be installed at the cargo station (in the north), which will further increase the unloading time.
Within 5 seconds, you can add another cargo station and place more FLT in the same center (FLT A, B and C stations are currently located in the center. Thus, the warehouse can be effectively unloaded. If you want to build a factory in the north, you need to add another row of FLT stations between road transport and the factory!
In addition, the cargo stations do not enter or exit, so there is no congestion at the nearby intersections; R1 is only occasionally used by tankers, while R2 is used to enter the cargo station and R2 is used to exit. If you want to go west after the truck station, just add the same jigsaw with station F instead of station D in the example.
We also tested the maximum number of transport points with the size of the station 4x4 Crago and were able to accommodate up to 12 points (or 10 points if you add the scenery to avoid glitches). So we wanted to add these stations to the set to increase the throughput even more.
That was the original idea behind these assets. To get to that point, I had to start playing with the building editor and start somewhere. You may not need to use all of this. But I needed to start with design, and I wanted to create variations and themes so they didn't all look the same.
To say that this setting is 100% effective would be a bit of a stretch! But it is certainly an improvement on what it is now. Simply adding more FLTs to a station does not help in this case.
