About This Mod

Annotation.

The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was an internationalist one-party state that existed from 1945 to 1992. This map attempts to reliably recreate Yugoslavia of the 1960 model. The map is made at a scale of approximately 1:45 using the height map data.

This map has been updated to simplify the construction process and take advantage of new tree varieties that have been available since the first version.


Now there are 26 customs posts: one small, six medium and two large in the west and nine small, six medium and two large in the east. The height map was heavily edited, smoothing out the location of the cities and making their construction easier. The terrain is still difficult, but it has improved considerably: all 31 localities in Bosnia and on the Adriatic coast have flat sections. Some hills and river valleys have also been leveled.


The road and rail network is entirely new, with a smaller gradient and improved road system. However, the historical network is at the core, and its accuracy has been improved. The last change is the terrain. The tree cover is much thicker than on the original map, and new tree species have been added. There are about 12 different forest species, which significantly changes the visual appearance and highlights the climate of different regions. In particular, the Adriatic coast is densely planted with various types of vegetation, depending on the rocky terrain and altitude above sea level.
