Description.

A realistic map of Nauru.


Nauru is a small country (the third largest in the world after the Vatican and Monaco) consisting of an island in the Pacific Ocean.


Despite its small size, Nauru has a very impressive history. It was once a colony of Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan. It is very rich in phosphate deposits, which in the 1960s made Nauru one of the richest countries in the world. But gradually these resources were exhausted, and the small country suffered a serious collapse. Most of the population is unemployed, and the mining industry has destroyed the small island's environment. Today, Nauru is also one of the most obese countries in the world (71.7% obesity!), and more recently, Nauru has been used and financially supported as a detention center for migrants arriving in Australia. This microstate was never communist or survived a socialist revolution. However, his unusual story led to his inclusion in the game.


Since there is no mechanism for mining and producing phosphates in the game, I replaced them with bauxite. There are no other resources on this map. Now we can build a real bauxite-dependent economy and export aluminum around the world! This map is uninhabited, there are no buildings on it, so it can be difficult to build everything from scratch. However, the terrain is mostly flat and there is a small lake in the southwest, the Bouada Lagoon. A very good role-playing idea to create a unique micro-state.
