About This Mod

A number of buildings, each with limited function, suitable for the establishment of a specialized customs post at the border, replacing or supplementing the vanilla customs posts that supply everything necessary.

1. Railway warehouses Railway vehicles can be purchased at the border. Vehicles can also be purchased, but they can only leave the warehouse if there is a road connection between them.

2. Road depot. Vehicles can be purchased at the border. Rail vehicles are also available for purchase, but cannot leave the warehouse unless they are dismantled and transported by truck.

3. water supply station. The game assumes that sewage can be sold in this building, but trucks cannot be shipped here because sewage pipes are not connected. This is a medium-sized building, and it has room for two water tankers.

4. Sewerage station. The game assumes that you can buy water in this building, but water trucks can't be sent here because the water pipes aren't connected. This is a medium-sized building, and it has space for two sewer trucks.

5. bus station. It can accommodate tourists and foreign workers. You can't buy or sell goods here, but you can buy vehicles for the road. It makes sense to buy buses at this customs office, but to include them in the shuttle bus, you need to leave the building and go to the bus depot. This bus station is medium-sized, can accommodate 500 passengers, but cannot accept tourists or foreign workers.

6. railway platform. It can accommodate tourists and foreign workers. You can't buy or sell goods here, but you can buy wagons. At this customs station, it makes sense to buy a passenger train, but in order to include it in the route, you need to leave the building and go to the railway yard. This station is medium-sized and can carry 1,000 passengers, but in this game it cannot carry that many tourists or foreign workers.

7. rail transport. All goods can be bought and sold on trains. Trains can be bought here, but it may be better to use train stations.

8. road freight transport. Here you can buy and sell goods that can be transported in closed or open trucks, such as food, grain and steel. This facility has a simple view (only car parks, without buildings), but it is possible to build other buildings connected to the factory; it has six car parks and two roads; it can also be used as a truck station with a road connecting the factory. Here you can buy road cars and disassembled cars, but then it is better to use a road depot.

The idea for this modification arose from the need to be able to deliver new trains and road vehicles through customs in a way that did not interfere with normal imports and exports. And the basis was modifications, which are available only in the customs, specializing in the purchase and sale of oil/bitumen/fuel.

None of the buildings are my work, they were copied from other mods and turned into customs posts that can only be placed at the border.

Note: In this game, standard gameplay does not allow these buildings to be placed on the map. All of these buildings should be located on the border. These buildings can only be placed when you create a new map in the Area Editor. If you want to place them on an existing map, follow these steps:

1. Enter the cheat mode by simultaneously pressing the C-H-E key. A message will appear informing you that the cheat mode has been activated.

2. When additional options appear in the "Settings" menu, select "Common cheat/debug functions".

3. then activate landscape editor mode.

4. The menu has a new button in the CIV section.

5. customs building is available from this menu.

In the center of the railway depot there is a railway connection that cannot be used because the play rails rest against the building. When you place this building, make sure that the rail line is pointing in the right direction. The water supply does not need to be connected to pipes passing through the border or to roads or railways on the other side of the border. This can only be done for appearance. However, instead of connecting tracks from the edge of the map to the railway depot, for example, you can place the depot on the other side of the border to simulate loading trains. They are also intended for appearance only and may not contain merchandise.

Finally, for Early Start, a less ultra-modern building was chosen to provide a slightly more realistic option than vanilla buildings. However, as a fashion is available a standard customs office, which offers the same function of supplying everything you need, but made in the form of a brick building in the old style. Combining these typical buildings with my custom buildings will allow you to create a better style when creating or modifying your own maps. It will also be possible to use these custom customs offices to create specific missions and capabilities. For example, one could remove all NATO common customs offices, block the sale of goods from capitalists, and leave only car bases that allow the purchase of Western cars. Finally, one can create a one-way traffic system, such as by placing car depots on the border. With six loading and unloading places, you can design a very modern and efficient border, creating the impression of a modern, functional trading post, placing several buildings on the border or just outside it. In the Radscape Editor editor mode, you can place any building abroad, not just customs.
