About This Mod

At the heart of the B-17 skin is Charlie Brown's Ye Olde Pub pub, in which Luftwaffe ace Franz Stigler gallantly saves the life of a crippled member of the bomber crew. This skin includes both basic and damage skins.


This skin is historically accurate, except that it is an E/L model, not an F model. However, if the F model appears in the game, this skin can be applied to the F model at any time by renaming the file.


Here is a picture of B-17 Laurel at the end of the Great War. Most of the references to Ye Olde Pub and the sheets of decals I have seen seem to show signs of the end of the Great War. However, looking at the back cover of A Higher Call, B-17, pictured behind the back of the crew, appears to carry a round "mid-war" sign with a red border around stars and stripes. I would prefer a round sign with a red border, but it had problems with the resolution and it looked ugly, so I removed it to improve readability; it is also the reason there is no white border around the Ye Olde Pub.

Added an alpha channel to the corruption view and changed it to display transparency correctly. Old files have been replaced. Additional changes were made to sharpen the decals. Due to the increased resolution, a white frame now appears around the Ye Olde Pub.
