About This Mod

Freestyle railway station. It introduces several new special tracks that will serve as platforms for cargo or passengers.

Resolution

Place the platforms next to the normal tracks, then place the platform marker and the track marker where you want the platform and track to end. Repeat at the other end.

WAIT A MINUTE and let the computer think.

Now that you have built a terminal, trains will stop between your track markers.

Add more platforms, tracks and tokens, a pop-up will ask you if you want to connect your new terminal to others. There are up to 12 terminals per station.

Now click on your station to open the configuration menu and add multiple connections.

· Neighboring platforms connect automatically. If they are too far apart, connect them with exits, stairs or underground passages. You can also connect the two exits from the bridge with a suitable trajectory - either a staircase or an elevator asset.

- Each set of contiguous ground platforms requires access to the street, underpass, elevator or staircase.

- Each set of adjacent bridge platforms requires an elevator or underpass.

- Each level of the bridge requires an elevator or underground passage next to the elevators or stairs on the ground platform.

- Each set of adjacent underground platforms requires a staircase.

- Each underground level requires an underground entrance, or a ground platform with an underground passage, or a higher underground level with a ladder down - if you have several underground levels, you can add stairs to higher levels to go down to lower levels.

You can divide the platform between two terminals, for example, the first 100 meters with Terminal 1 and the rest with Terminal 2. If you do this, the heads will automatically connect if they are 7 meters apart or less. If they are further away, use the terminal outputs and connect them by a suitable path (street menu).

You cannot share a single platform leg or path with multiple terminals.

When you bulldoze a terminal, the mod will try to restore the tracks as they were before to make the changes simple: bulldoze the terminal, change what you need, then restore it using the markers. If you mistakenly destroyed a terminal with a bulldozer, leave the structure menu open and install the "repair" module on it so that it appears again.

When you bulldoze the station, everything will be demolished.

Elevators, stairs and underground entrances are in the asset, look for "freestyle station".

Tips:

"Platforms are pathways, and they can also suffer from micro-splits and bumps that are very hard to see.

- To visualize tracks and splits, start the game in debug mode and press <AltGr> + <L>. This is especially useful when working with multi-level metro stations. Try to lay the platforms and paths smoothly and clean.

- Use <NumPad 4> or the "Look Underground" track structure to operate underground.

- Platforms carry passengers or goods only if they are part of a terminal.

- Platforms of 2.5 m length do not agree with bridges and tunnels. My bridges help, the tunnels don't.

— This mod adds bridges to help with above-ground stations.

- Very thin tracks help with certain settings: they are in my fashion Street Fine Tuning.

— This mod adds pedestrian walkways and bridges; some become bridges after they are installed. For precise operation, use the Street Fine Tuning "chunky" and "splitter" constructions.

- You can use footpaths and bridges to connect your station to the outside world. Their connections may seem broken when the building menu is open, but rebuild yourself after you close it.

- When you remove the terminal, the station will be completely updated after closing the structure menu.

— Additional earth textures are in my fashion on landscape customization.

- If you want different buildings, use the assets. There are fashions with them.

— This mod adds stairs and elevators as customizable assets; they can be used anywhere. My mod "Construction Mover" helps to easily place them. However, the game doesn't handle them gracefully, and <AltGr> + <L> will help you check if they're tethered to your network. Biking between steep and non-steep roads or bridges in the options window can help.

· Use the track structure or the track point "Track Splitter" to do the exact work.

- Use the Track Segment Removal rail structure for easy removal of underground tracks. It is in my fashion Street Fine Tuning.

- Updating tracks is done on all tracks at once.

- If you have too many types of trails, use the categories in the menu to make your life easier.

Critical changes:

- Metro stations are now in the active.

- Minor version 1.81 (August 31, 2022) made important changes to the layout. Previously built terminals will continue to work, but may have some failures. To benefit from your changes, delete them, wait for them to reappear, and then rebuild them.

— Platforms do not connect automatically to adjacent roads, you need to add an exit or station.

- Minor version 1.99 (February 13, 2023) makes existing walls invisible until you build a new one.

- Walls around tracks are only available on terminals built with version 1.99 or newer.

- Minor version 1.115 removes links from flash outputs at the end of platforms to avoid crashes. It also replaced the old elevators and double ladders (assets) with new ones.

Known Issues:

- Placement of modules is quite free, the player is allowed to do some unreal things. Proper inspections would be too expensive.

- Station naming does not work correctly.

- Platforms of 2.5 m length do not agree with bridges and tunnels. Ask UG to make trackDistance work.

"Underground passages don't show underground passages. Ask UG to fix the terrain when tying the caterpillars nearby.

- The larger your station, the longer it takes to add or remove a terminal. This may take more than a minute, just wait.

- Some modules can only be placed after some others, such as stair exits after a stair, but the configuration menu does not update automatically. After installing the first set of stairs, you need to close and reopen the menu to open the exits from the stairs.

- Some track and signal modes are incompatible. As a rule, avoid mods that overwrite or disable standard game tracks. You probably won't miss them anyway.

- After some time or after terraforming, the objects surrounding your station can cause collision errors each time you try to set up the station. It's an old game problem, and it happens to other stations as well. To overcome this, start removing the pedestrian bridges that snap into the station and add them back when you're done. If it doesn't work, do the same with the adjacent tracks. If you are still unlucky, patiently search for the street, building or asset responsible and remove it, and then add it back as soon as you are finished.
