About This Mod

A modular freight station with one terminal, available since 1925.

You can combine several of them to create a complex station for trucks, with complete control over tracks and capacity. You can also combine them with standard street stations, using them as drop-off points for your hub.

To accommodate one, first pave the streets and leave a gap for the station to which a separate section of road is attached.

Best of all: set a fine street setting, draw your street, cut it into two points, bulldoze the line between them and replace it with this station.

You can use the sidewalk to hold the cargo or leave it clean.

Cargo links connect separate areas into a single loading area, even overcoming obstacles.

Enable or disable sound effects using the mod option.

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Use <o> and <p> to adjust the pitch.

Placing two stations next to each other can be an excruciating task, because the game tries to connect roads, fails, and produces meaningless error messages. Add a little bit more length to get around this, or leave a wider gap between stations, or change the neighbor binding property.

Once you have built your station, you can customize it. You may have to cycle through "neighbor binding" to allow this.

Set up a fine-tuned street to have useful construction tools and more roads. Use the categories in the street menu to avoid going around in circles with a choice of road types.

If you want to force something into the station’s coverage area, use ultra-thin trajectories or the cargo link module.

You can use modified street types if they have one of the following categories: country, highway, one-way, urban, mining.

If you are trying to set up a station and see collision warnings, make sure the correct street type is selected from the configuration menu. It's a dynamic choice, and it can do that, it's a game limit.

If you don't like the mod outside, remove or reconfigure the truck modular stations that use it, remove or replace all modified streets, save the game, and reload it without the mod.

KNOWN ISSUES

The first iteration of this fashion had an uncomfortable grid. If you have already built some of these stations, they will continue to work. Once you configure them, the old modules will disappear and you will have to install new ones. This is the only one of its kind and a small price to pay for definitely the best net.

September 2021 saw another sea change. Your old stations will continue to run, but you'll have to bulldoze them down and rebuild them if you want to edit them.

Avoid mods that replace or disable sewage streets, they can break this and other mods. You probably won't miss them anyway.
