Faster combat and other animations.
About This Mod
For patches 1.31 and GOTY 1.31, but can work on 1.22.
I'm going to start combining old patch notes/minor changes as they only clutter the page.
(2.25.17) Changes for 1.5:
One more small update and addition of several new animations. I didn't find anything serious to add or change, so it could be considered the final version, unless I make some good discovery while messing around with it all. Until then, I'm taking a break.
- Increased the direct hit range by a small amount.
- Removed the special camera used in Rend charging so that the player can control the camera when using it.
- Crossbow recharge: increased by 40%.
- Added a separate file for alternate reversing animations, slightly adjusted to function the same as the default. Just a change of taste.

Increased animation speed:
- Combat walk: 40% (the guard's walk has not changed)
- Throw/dodge: 25/45%
- Fist Evasion: 40%
- Throw bombs about 80% faster (action is divided by two animations increased by 50%/30%; reach for the bomb, then throw).
- The speed of automatic rotation animation that Geralt makes when he is not facing the enemy (due to evasion, rolling, etc.) is doubled.
- When sprinting in any direction other than forward, during the fight Geralt must first turn. This animation is increased by 50% (slight change).
- Awakening animation after being knocked out by guards is increased by 70% (for those who often like to cause trouble). Use this mod to scale them down and avoid losing coins when K.O.
Minor changes:
- The stop of the fight/walk of the guards is now instantaneous; there are no more momentary movements after the stop.
- By default, two animations are used to jump forward. When playing at high frame rates, one stutter more than the other. Deleted.
- The stop after the sprint is now almost instantaneous. It also allows for steeper turns during sprint (not aimed at combat).
- When parrying, Geralt either kicks or pushes with his shoulder. The shoulder-kick option was removed, as it is not as smooth and fast as the kick.
- Some protection animations have been removed so that Geralt does not shuffle so much during protection (visual only).
- Replaced the fast attacks used in the middle distance (which are a little slower), short for all directions. The same applies to Geralt’s slow, forward pirouette attacks. Use hard to attack to close holes. Delete the file "CombatSword.ws" if you don't want these changes.
