About This Mod
Description This small mod replaces the asset ways of the Palace Guard and Captain Guard armor with the Sword Armor assets, making these armor playable. Unlike sword armor, the status of the armor and the names of the items remain unchanged. Guards' weapons remain unchanged. Their weapons are not replaced by katans with knives, and the NPC remains unchanged. Fashion also allows you to plunder and wear armor by marking items as playable. A lot of fashion has already realized this opportunity, but I have seen no reason not to. Mod compatibility does not include any new assets. Therefore, it must be compatible with non-esp textures. Mods that change the same armor may overwrite the changes. Notice the installation order. This is easy to fix - use the mod control program to set the boot order. Reason: This mod was created because although the Palace Guard design looks a bit ridiculous with its pearl and white finish, the game actually underuses the good assets of the armor. Moreover, the Imperial Legion in Oblivion is not very similar to the Roman Legion. This mod allows for a more complete use of the excellent set of imperial armor, as well as a little closer to the legions that were in Morrowind and Skyrim. On the other hand, I knew that this mod would only take a few minutes, I could edit it in five hell! It turned out that it was not possible to manually set the path as a string in the designer set, so I had to open the archive with the original game to access the file. Okay, the change worked, and instead of a neat 3KB file, I now have 15 megabytes of bloated data. It's a lot of trash. The editor did not have the necessary tools to manually edit such a file, and I could not repeat this tedious process to get the same dirty result. Then I found xEdit (TES4Edit), a tool for .esp files. I didn't know how to clean up .esp, but I managed to recover all the planned changes by cloning them into a pure fake .esp. Now I have the perfect fashion file. If you want to enable or reinstall this mod in anything, feel free to do so. The indication of my merits is welcome, but not mandatory.
