About This Mod

2.0 (BepInEx). Adds an extra leviathan respawn, a menu for adjusting the intensity of the respawn, and the ability to determine whether the respawn space will randomize each time a file is downloaded.

Compatible with Update 2.0 (does not work with the original Subnautica).

This mod attempts to recapture the same horror as the first Subnautica game, adding a new place for the Leviathan spawn. Maud does not refer to or modify the existing spawn locations in the base game, but simply adds new spawn locations on top of those already created in the game. All these coordinates were hand-picked to ensure that the spawns matched the plot (e.g., the ghostly leviathan would fall into deeper and darker locations) and that the spawns were not created on terrain or static objects. The mod works by randomly selecting a certain number of spawns from a large list of possible spawns, according to the parameters set by the player in the fashion options menu.

Version 1.1.0 - An item for this mode has been added to the options menu. If you want these options to be applied, you need to set them before the game starts. If you change these settings after running the save file, they will not appear in the generated save when the mod is loaded. If you want to change the settings after creating the save file, you can always manually change the spawnData.xml file associated with the particular save (or simply delete this spawnData.xml file and a new spawnData.xml file will be created the next time you load it).

Reaper Spawn Density - Determines the total density of Leviathan Reaper spawns added to the game. A value of 1 will add between 2 and 4 calves. A value of 6 will add between 20 and 23 eggs to the game. A value of 0 will not add any Leviathan eggs to the game. The default value is 2.

Spiral Spawns Density - Determines the total density of spawns of ghostly Leviathan added to the game. A value of 1 will add 1 to 3 eggs to the game. A value of 6 will add between 12 and 14 calves. A value of 0 will not add ghostly Leviathan caviar." The default value is 2.

Always Random - places where Reapers can appear are fixed. If this option is checked (true), the save files will be accidentally downloaded each time (they can be deleted from the previous location and stored in a new location). If the density is set to the maximum, almost all sleeping places will be added to the game (there is room for several places to depost and sleep elsewhere). If unchecked (false), spawns are fixed and will not be updated/modified at save time. The default value is not valid.

I apologize if this is a possible mistake, but please let me know if you find anything related to my fashion. This mod should work well with other mods, but use it at your own risk. Have fun!

WARNING: There have been reports of spawns getting stuck. This is probably because the game caches objects in the player's immediate vicinity and loads them when other objects appear in the player's environment. If a player completes a session with a leviathan (created by my mod) nearby and reboots it, he saves the leviathan spawn that was there the last time the player closed the file, and then the game loads my spawn file, starts it, and adds the leviathan again, causing it to get stuck. I'll try to figure it out if I can, but for now, you have to assume it's not going to be fixed. I'm not a C# expert, but I hope to find a way to fix this problem in the future. However, the modding community for this game is limited, and things like SMLHelper have very limited documentation and do not cover topics such as the despot.

If you can or want to fix this problem, you can copy and upload a version of your mod, but it looks like it's a BepInEx problem. I am not a C# developer, so this change will be better in the hands of someone who is well versed in C# and Unity. A link to the repository is provided below. I don't know how much I will support future updates of this fashion, so feel free to make forks and release your own fashion.

Using this fashion is at your own risk. We also recommend that you use this mod on new save files, not on save files that you have used for a long time. In the worst case, remove this mod if it causes serious problems.
