About This Mod

This Subnautica mod allows you to influence and change the landscape. This mod brings back the ability to independently influence and terraform the landscape, which has been removed by the developer.

Description.

Officially, the terraforming mechanics were removed, as they greatly reduced productivity. The mod is based on the latest approach to terrain generation in the game, which contributes to increased performance. Therefore, no lags or frames were found when terraforming, saving, and loading the world. However, it is important to note that this mod is not needed to create new caves, depths, etc., but to make small changes in the landscape for design purposes. This is certainly possible, but may affect performance. Note that changes in the landscape do not occur immediately.

Feature.

- Records containing landscape changes are moved to the CompiledOctreesCache folder in the Records folder.

- Items can be partially filled with the help of the designer. Maud automatically changes the surrounding landscape when the module is complete.

- The push gun removes small pieces of terrain by firing them.

- Terraformer tool "Obsolute" ("item terraformer"), available only from the console, to remove or add parts of the landscape.

- The "dig#" console command erases the spherical area around the character. The character becomes the center of the sphere, and the radius of the sphere is replaced by #. For example, "dig 5".

Configuration.

All settings are made in the config.json file.

1) rebuildMessages - Notification displayed when the terrain changes. Enabled by default.

2) habitantModulesPartialBurying - allows the builder to change the landscape around the created modules. Enabled by default.

3) spaceBetweenTerrainHabitantModule - allows you to specify the free space created by the above settings around the visualized module. The higher the value, the more space is removed from the path. The default value is 1.0

4) terrainImpactWithPropulsionCannon - allows you to remove small pieces of terrain with a repulse gun.

5) destroyLargerObstaclesOnConstruction - ability to remove large objects (stones, structures) if they conflict with the construction module. The object will be deleted when construction is complete. This option is disabled by default, but be careful when enabling it.
