About This Mod

With this fashion you will not only be able to sleep the capsule anywhere, but also enjoy the free fall from orbit on the way to a new home.

"Funny, but the damage doesn't look so bad from here."

You can imagine drifting in a rescue capsule as the Aurora crashes into the planet's surface.

Capsules can appear in a variety of places. They can be on land, in the ocean or even in Aurora; it is highly recommended to add a Jumpstart mod or a mod that changes the starting inventory. This will allow you to quickly leave the capsule and return to base if you land in a particularly uncomfortable place.

Update: Subnautica now has a list of sleeping places, which can be selected from the Options -> Mods menu in the Subnautica start menu. To use custom spawn, first open the included config.txt file and enter the desired x,y,z coordinates in the specified lines. Then select "Custom" as the sleep point from the options menu. Possible natives are as follows:

Random (default is about ±1250 coordinates, with a low probability of spawning in space)

Private (enter the desired coordinates).

The landings are one of two random islands. Either on land or near the coastline.

Mountain Island

Floating Island

Safe shallow water - vanilla start

Oasis - swimming pool in the center of a floating island

Sand dunes

Alterra's life pods now feature a new composite material that makes the case transparent. With this and the underlying gravitational force, the rescue capsule operator can safely overcome various hazards. A nearby, powerful light source temporarily wraps up the material, making it temporarily transparent.

Added the ability to go to the surface in a broken life circle, which sinks to the bottom, wherever it lands.

In 1.4, it became possible to manually control the capsule. To do this, stand next to or inside the escape pod and hold the shift. Pressing WASD while holding shift will move the escape capsule depending on where the character is looking, pressing C will lower it and pressing X will lift it. The capsule's engines are not powerful enough to keep it afloat without manual control, so it will slowly fall down, but the new buoyancy controls allow the capsule to maintain depth if it is below the liquid surface. The Shift key binding can be changed in the Options->Mod in-game menu.

Attention.

Landing in an unfamiliar place can have strange consequences. If you land in an unplayable location, you may have to restart the game and find a new landing location.

When you land in your chosen location, be sure to stabilize the capsule (default - left control). Traveling beyond the loading distance of an unsecured capsule can cause the capsule to sink into relief and become unreachable!
