About This Mod

Strong shading reconstruction designed to make the game more vibrant, extremely beautiful and retain a stunning feel from the two original Kaiju shaders. Don't forget to also use Filmic Colour Grading - it also works with Below Zero.

If you need other shaders for Subnautica and Below Zero

Kaiju's Shaders 2 - click here

(More will be added in the future)

Also check out the FILMIC rating of Subnautica colors.

This shader can also be used in Below Zero. It was developed and made for the Subnautica, but tested in both games. It works perfectly in both games.

If you’ve seen my other two shaders before, you know I like to create scary and realistic shaders. I will continue the original series "Kaiju Shaders", but now I have decided to make more diverse shaders and not just focus on scaring people. No more words.

Most of the coloring settings are designed to make the game scarier or more beautiful. In this shader, we sought to give the game the best of both worlds, placing greater emphasis on beautiful landscapes. This setting won't make the game any less scary, but at least you'll be enchanted by exploring the terrifying depths of 4546b.

This shader has a greater impact on performance than the first two shaders, thanks to the Screen Spaced Reflections (SSR). This shader also adds brighter colors, flowering effects and depth of field, and IKF's Live Shader makes 4546b night less dark and focuses on more beautiful and stunning landscapes. Since night vision is still not possible, it is recommended to use a flashlight or some light source (I also recommend changing the gamma settings in the game according to your preferences. I'm currently set to 1.20, but if you like darker games, scroll down the page).

And one more thing: in the "Images" section, I also showed you a shader that I finished a few months ago that wasn't released yet.

Remember, if it says "UNReleased", that doesn't mean it's never going to be released. This does not mean that it will never be published, but there is no guarantee. Now let's go to the lesson on depth buffer tuning and hash loading). ↓.

. A depth buffer must be set for this setting to work.

How to Configure the Depth Buffer

Step 1 - Go to the Reshade menu, find "DisplayDepth" and click on it. In most cases, it will be:

Step 2 - To change it, go to "Edit Global Preprocessor Definitions" and set "RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED" to 1.

Step 3 - Go to the Plugin tab and copy these settings (Note: these settings may vary. Uncheck all checkboxes below as shown).

Step 4 - If you did everything right, your game should look like this. If so, congratulations! You have now configured the depth buffer.

Step? 5 - Next, go to the Reshade menu - disable 'DisplayDepth', click the drop down menu, select 'IKF'S VIBRANT SHADERS' and you're done.
