Three Blender File Import and Export Tool

I won't go into detail on how to create a new head for skyrim or fallout, since there are enough video tutorials on youtube to do that, but the procedure is exactly the same, just you'll also have to import the vanilla head and create a new .nif file.

1.) Import vanilla tri and its nif file.

2.) Shape your new head and adjust its neck to vanilla.

3.) Add form keys with names from the tri file and give them the form that you think is appropriate.

Export:

1.) Duplicate the grid and remove all shape keys from the copy

2.) Reduce the copy to 10% of its size (S -> 0.1 -> enter) and align it to the vanilla file nif (use the neck vertices to tie it to the desired position).

This will be your .nif export file.

3.) Copy the weights from the vanilla nif (copy the bone weight in the scripts in object mode) and attach it to the skeleton.

4.) Export the nif file (with Fallout standards, but without interleaving) and the tri file.

2. Drag and drop two files into ".../<Blenderfolder>/blenderscripts"

Working with the importer:

1. Open Blender

2. File -> Import -> morph .tri (.tri)...

3. Select a file to open.

— *Head.tri -> used for head animation | Edit

these when you want to edit an animation— *HeadChargen.tri -> is used for the sliders in the charging menu | Edit them if you want to change the maximum features of your characters

- *HeadRaces.tri -> is used to distinguish between races | edit them if you want to change the appearance of the race (for example, orcs have different lips from behind their teeth, elves have unique ears)

- Remember: morphine names must match the names of races in NK.

---- For example: the imperial morphine must be "ImperialRace", since their ID is "ImperialRace" in CK

The "Rotate by 90°" option is cleared by default, but you can turn it on when you need it.

4. Select Imported Grid.

— You should notice...

— ... that there is a base and many other entries in the shape keys panel.

— ... that Head is 10 times larger than the imported .nif file, and 100 times larger than the imported file

.obj--- ... that the ultraviolet light is reflected in the horizontal middle

— ... that the grid has no weights

5. Depending on the type of file you have imported, the Shape Keys panel will have a choice between mood and lip movements, character traits, or race features.

Editing

- The order of the vertices should remain the same for the .nif and .tri grid - so it is best to export the working .nif and re-import it.

flag If you exported a morphine that was incorrectly named, you will most likely notice a warning - and why the export did not work.

This is because the script is now set to recognize two different types of morphs: ordinary morphs and modifier morphs.

You can assign a morphine to one or the other by naming the shape key as follows:

"MorphKey A [1]" - parentheses around the number denote the usual morphine key.

"ModifierKey B (3)" - parentheses tell the script that it is a modifier morph.Morph

will be renamed to "MorphKey A" (without space, brackets and index) when exporting - so don't worry about it. You also don't have to worry about the index number as it is not implemented yet (it can be used to sort export in a later version).

This is what the Morph shape key is called if it is a modifier.

Export:

1. Select a grid

2. File -> Export -> morph .tri (.tri)...

3. Select the folder where you want to save the new tri file and name the .tri file

4. No rotation needed (90° rotation should be removed by default) -> ok
