Best Vampires 8.9

- I strongly recommend using Mod Organizer 2 to install and uninstall this mod. Say yes so that my mod will replace all files.

- If you want to install the mod manually, make sure you have backed up the following files from —Data—Scripts—Source: PlayerVampireQuestScript, PRKF_VampireFeedBeds_000CF02C, and VampireSunISMDEffectScript

- When installing manually, make sure that you ONLY install one of my main .esp files.

If this is the first time you've installed a game

1) First remove all other mods to modify vampires, if you delete them later, some of my scripts will be removed and replaced with vanilla versions of Skyrim. I recommend that you first use my batch file "Remove Better Vampires" to make sure that other mods' vampire scripts are not present when you install mine.

2) Install my mod (make sure it's installed after all mods for appearance or custom races, say "yes" to replace all files).

3) Use LOOT or make sure my mod is in the correct boot order (check my Troubleshooting page).

4) Use my MCM - Troubleshooting and Cleaning page (or my power setting) and click on "Reset Sanguinare Vampiris".

5) Customize my mod using MCM, customization force or console commands.

6) You were infected in step 4, now you have to wait 3 days for the disease to pass and you will become a vampire in step 1 (completely full).

If Update

Please follow all these steps (for versions 7.5 and above) when upgrading from a previous version of my mod (don't worry, you won't lose your progress).

1) Rest/wait inside the game for 24 hours - this will allow all NPCs you have fed or used Seduction to recover.

2) Use my MCM Troubleshooting and Cleaning page (or my configuration options) and click on "BLANK Better Vampires Mod".

3) If you are using my MCM, exit it to remove the mod.

4) Wait for the removal to complete, then save the game (this should be a real save, not a quick one).

5) Exit the game.

6) Uninstall and uninstall the old version of my mod (completely REMOVE it from Skyrim\Data and Skyrim\Data\Scripts). I use MO to delete mods, but you can look at the files section and use my batch file "Remove Better Vampires" - it will VERIFY that everything is deleted.

7) Download and install my latest version of fashion from NMM, MO or Bethesda.net (PC or XBox One).

8) Launch the game and download the saved game from step 4.

9) Use my MCM - Troubleshooting and Cleanup page (or my customization feature) and click on "Reset Sanguinare Vampiris".

10) Customize my mod using MCM, power configuration or console commands.

11) You were infected in step 9, now you have to wait 3 days until the disease has passed and you become a first-stage vampire (completely full).

* You must once feed a living victim to get your rank the first time.

MORE STEPS

12) After first becoming a vampire, make a new save (this should be a real save, not a fast one).

13) Exit the game.

14) Use Script Cleaner (or Skyrim Tools for SE) to save from step 12 (to provide the cleanest possible sheet).

15) Start the game and download the cleared save from step 14.

NOTE: If you are using TMPhoenix's "RaceCompatibility for Skyrim and Dawnguard" mod, you should follow the instructions on its page on how to make a clean save in conjunction with its mod. If you don't, my mod won't work properly. You can also check the list of instructions on my Known Issues and FAQ page. Make sure your mod has been updated to work with my latest version!

Uninstall

- I strongly recommend using Mod Organizer 2 to install and uninstall this mod.

- If you manually delete my mod, I recommend you to use my file "- Remove Better Vampires -.bat", which will automatically delete all my mod files from your Skyrim\Data directory.

1) Rest/Wait 24 hours in the game - this will allow all NPCs you have fed or used on them Seduction or Embrace of Fear to recover. Cure all the NPCs you turned into vampires...

2) Use my MCM - Troubleshooting and Cleanup page, or use my customization options and click on "BLANK Better Vampires Mod".

3) Wait for the message that everything has been deleted/reinstalled.

4) Save your game and exit Skyrim.

5) Uninstall and delete my mod (I use MO, but you can check the file section and use my batch file "Remove Better Vampires" - it will MAKE sure everything is deleted.

6) Download the saved game from step 4.

7) Play at ...

8) Create a new save after you have deleted my mod.

9) Exit the game.

10) Use Script Cleaner on save from step 8 (to provide the cleanest possible sheet).

11) Start the game and download the cleared save from step 10.
