About This Mod

Elves are pale, aren't they? Except for the Dark Elves. But not at TES: here they have made the elves tall yellow (because, being tall, are they valued as gold?), and the woodlands brown gray (because they are made of wood?) Of course they are free to do with their fantasy world whatever they want, for example, to turn gnomes into absent elves of a different sort, and orcs into a playable civilized race, not traditional fantasy monsters. But we shouldn't like it, that's what fashion is for.

This fashion causes tall and woodland elves to have pale (pink) skin. It completely replaces vanilla skins, so you won't be able to get back to your elves' icy skin. There are other mods, like DataRomance's More Elven Skin Tones, that do something similar, but they add pale skins to vanilla skins (so you can choose from both). This somehow causes conflict with many fashions that change faces, hair, presets, etc. At Pale Elves, I took a different approach, which I can see as avoiding these conflicts.

***Skyrim Special Edition uses Fallout 4 assets. FO4 applies a brown filter to all skins, so even the pale character will look like he spent some time in the sun. However, the yellowish and burgundy tones characteristic of high/forest elves are still removed. However, we can't get real pale tones like the original Skyrim. Sorry.

***This will only affect your player character. NPC will still have a normal skin tone.

Compatible with Total Character Makeover.

Incompatibility

Probably with any other fashion directly altering the races of the High Elves or the Forest Elves.
