About This Mod
This mod has been badly needed by several other mods for a long time. Mostly Realistic Combat Overhaul, which also made bleeding from all vital organs with a 100 percent probability. But for some arbitrary reason, Rockstar has decided to severely limit when and where bleeding can occur. For example, NPCs in missions use a completely separate damage model (Human_Mission), which is not present in the peddamageinfo.meta file and cannot be modified. They are also blocked in ALL indoor areas, regardless of the NPC and where they appear.
Fixing it was much easier than we could have imagined. After all, Rockstar has already provided a workaround: The tracking arrow!
It turns out the tracking arrow has a special flag (VerifyAllowed) for the Bleeding Damage Modifier (CDamageModifierForceBleedout) to cause bleeding in Legendary Animals. After all, they are also immune to bleeding and critical hits when using conventional cartridges. Have you ever noticed that legendary animals have to be shot more than once, even if hit in the head? That's why, and Rockstar itself avoids this problem, and we exploit it.
Changes in version 1.3:
The fix from v1.1 has become more reliable (honestly, I don't think anyone noticed any problems, but it is better to reinsure), and the number of conditions used has decreased from 4 to 2. Nothing special, but saving processor cycles when possible is always a good practice.
This is likely to be the last update unless the game update breaks it or someone finds something seriously wrong.
Changes in version 1.2:
Last time I uploaded the wrong file like an idiot. It still works fine, don't worry, but the mentioned patch has not been enabled. Oops.
Changes to v1.1:
Turned the traversal into its own modifier and inserted it into official modifiers properly, rather than intercepting them. This prevents weapons that should not cause fatal damage from causing bleeding (such as Bolas and RDO .22 Tranquilizer rounds). This ensures that when using mods that unblock network content, the planned gameplay will not be disrupted.
Mod is now not only 6 lines :(
