When most people talk about realism in euphoric games, most of them actually mean "authentic" moves. And that is what Rockstar Games has been striving for in GTA4, Red dead Redemption (2010), and MaxPayne 3. It was not realistic in the sense that the NPC immediately fell lifeless to the ground after the shot, but the movements that the NPC made were truly authentic, believable and cinematic for every genre in which the game took place. Since GTA5, this feature has disappeared.
