About This Mod

Designed in 1918 to replace the RSC1917, the RSC1918 was a generally improved version that included many changes that were shown to require field testing (short length, bolt latches opening at idle, the ability to use the Bertier 1916 clamps and the ability to make it easier and more efficient). Overall production changes were made cheaper).


The 1918 rifle was first used at the Battle of Riffa and was used during World War II. It was used by the French army, especially the colonial powers, during World War II and was blocked by the transformation of the gas system into a vertical sliding-bolt rifle (possibly due to fears of a colonial rebellion).
