About This Mod
The M-ATV is a five-passenger four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle with mine and ambush protection (MRAP). It was designed and built in 2009 and adopted by the U.S. Army the same year as the standard light MRAP.
The machine weighs 16.25 tons (14.74 t), is 20.57 feet (6.27 m) long, 8.17 feet (2.49 m) wide, and 8.75 feet (2.67 m) high. The armor is made of Plasun composite material and the body is V-shaped for protection against improvised explosive devices. The central tire pumping and insertion system allows the car to travel at least 30 miles at 30 mph, even if the air pressure in the two tires drops. It can carry a variety of weapons, including the M240 machine gun, the Mk 19 grenade launcher, the BGM-71 TOW and the MILAN ATGM. 370 hp, 7.2-liter Caterpillar C7 turbo-diesel engine, straight-cylinder The maximum load capacity is 4,000 pounds, on one tank of gasoline can travel 510 km. The top speed of M-ATV is 105 km/h (65.24 mph).
