About This Mod

This made Palworld supported in Mod Organiser 2.

Details.

This plugin facilitates Pal folder virtualization and creates a virtual file system (VFS) for MO2 at run time, splitting mods between Content/Pak and Binaries/Win64/Mods for efficient mod management. For optimal configuration and functionality, install the pak and mod files correctly according to the following structure

Content/Packages/

- Content/Paks/~mods/ <- This folder must be created. Use this folder mainly for mods related to graphics.

- LogicMods/ <- UE4SS should create this folder for you.

- Mods/ <- So far we have found only one mod package using this folder.

- Pal-Windows.pak <- This is basically the content of the game. Do not move or remove it.

Binaries/Win64/Mods.

- ActorDumperMod <- This is disabled in the mods.text file.

- BPML_GenericFunctions <- Mod Helper for BPModLoaderMod (do not disable this mod if you are using BPModLoaderMod).

- BPModLoaderMod <- Absolutely necessary to download Blueprint mods.

- CheatManagerEnablerMod <- Enabled by default in Mods.text.

- ConsoleCommandsMod <- Ue4ss console commands included in Mods.text are useful when the console is enabled in UE4SS-settings.ini.

- ConsoleEnablerMod <- enabled in mods.text Disables the Ue4ss console.

- jsbLuaProfilerMod <- This is the Lua profiler that helps to handle errors in Lua code.

- Keybinds <- is in mods.text, controls all Ue4ss keyboard shortcuts (store it in mods.text and never disable it).

- LineTraceMod <- disabled in mods.text.

- shared <- This folder is not a mod, it contains common data used by many mods by default, including BPModLoaderMod. Do not delete it.

- SplitScreenMod <- disabled in mods.text.

- mods.text <- enabled.text used during installation, even if it is not in the mods folder.

For those familiar with Mod Organiser 2 (MO2), the basic concept remains the same. However, for beginners, here is a brief explanation of how this works in connection with the game:

Mod Organiser 2 Overview: MO2 functions as an advanced video game mod management tool. It works by creating virtual instances of folders with game content.

Virtual File System (VFS): When a game is started through MO2, a virtual folder view is initialized with the content of the game. In this virtual folder, known as the Virtual File System (VFS), MO2 binds all mods.

Game integration: When you start a game, it interacts with that VFS instead of the actual content folder on your hard drive. This process ensures that the game recognizes VFS as the primary resource directory and that all mods will load without problems at runtime.

MO2 Benefits: The main advantages of using MO2 are organization and flexibility. You can centrally manage your mods separately from the game's installation directory. This setting allows you to create different mod profiles or mod lists and easily switch between them without affecting the game source files.

With Mod Organiser 2, players can easily manage and switch between mods, enjoying a game with a wide range of customization options.

Prerequisites

UE4SS 3.0.0 or higher must be installed; versions earlier than 3.0.0 are not supported.

Make sure that Mod Organiser 2.5.0 is compatible with your system.

Current functionality and future plans

Current features.

Palworld auto-discovery.

Virtualization for mod management.

Saving file lists.

Custom installer for scripted and packaged mods (to return to the standard installer, disable it by going to Settings->Add-ons).

Skip my installer if fomod is detected. Use fomod instead.

Future plans:

Implementation of installation queue support.

Develop a better installer interface, especially for Palworld.

Feedback and support

This is an early release, and we welcome feedback and suggestions for improving the plugin. If you have any problems or ideas for improvement, please let us know.

Description of features.

Known issues and solutions

The MOD Editor editor is slow to load VFS after the game's launch, so slow that scripted mods cannot be loaded, but not so slow that puck mods cannot be launched. Therefore, scripted modes are not loaded. The solution now is as follows.

This problem is caused directly by the Mo2 kernel code. Unfortunately, there is no solution on my part. The best solution would be to delay the program launch to give VFS more time to download. I could do this by creating a bat that delays game loading, but it will probably take some time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Again, this is a problem that only a few people face, and it does not seem to be widespread. If you need help, please follow these steps.
