About This Mod

Earlier, I created a mod called Simple Raw Rebalance, which achieved a similar goal - to increase the diversity of progress through buffs for weaker weapons. This mod achieves this goal by reducing buffs and increasing nerfs, so the game balance should not be badly affected. My basic philosophy when making the changes was that easier weapons should be weaker than harder to reach, and that the difference in power should correspond to the difference in difficulty. That sounds obvious, but Capcom couldn't help but think so (compare Crew weapons to Narga or Savage Jaw weapons to Tigrex).

As far as ranged weapons are concerned, that doesn't change anything, since by default they are balanced differently.

Unless otherwise stated, all changes apply to the latest upgrade of the weapon. Justifications are shown in italics.

General changes

- Defender: 40-50 dampness reduction on all upgrades, half gap reduction on all upgrades.

"It's literally the easiest weapon to make. Still good, but not as good as the others.

- Iron: 10 raw decreases of all MPs (now 210/230/250).

- Bone: 10% reduction in all raw MP (now 220/240/270).

- Jagras the Great: the raw material is reduced to 250.

- Kulu-Ya-Ku: Raw materials reduced to 240

- Tsitsi-Ya-Ku: raw materials reduced to 250

"All of the above weapons are very easy to manufacture, so the cost of raw materials has been reduced accordingly.

- Note: discrepancies between iron and bone raw materials have been corrected (e.g. final iron and bone raw materials values for assault sword are 270). Match the values specified here.

- Bambaro: White sharpness can now be obtained by any craft.

"It's the same thing that Bambaro's double blades already do.

- Anyanat: The raw material value is reduced to 250, which allows you to get natural white and violet with several levels of crafts.

'Andrzej's weapon was oddly balanced. Instead of getting high rates of dampness and elemental, it got low rates of sharpness, slots, and affinity.

I have decided to sacrifice my health for the sake of poignancy, in order to increase the utility of Anji's weapons as elemental weapons.

- Fulgur Anzhanath: now gets a natural sharpness in white.

"Fulgour's weapons compete (albeit weakly) with Kirin and Toby-Kadachi, and their sharpness gives them a reason to use them.

- Nargakga: Dampness and proximity increased to 230/240/250, 30%/35%/40% (rare 11) or 230/240, 30%/40% (rare 10).

"Narga's weapons have to compete with Crewe and Koku, so they have been adjusted to be better than Crewe and Koku's side.

- Odogaron: Raw cost increased to 230/250.

'For the same reason as for Narga's weapons.

- Odogaron Ebony: 20% increase in Dragon Element for all upgrades, compatibility is standardized to 25%, rarity is standardized to 11.

- A more favorable option for the 11th rarity and more suitable for use as dragon/affinity weapon.

- Removed the "Hurricane Fire" attribute for all enhancements, added hidden fire/sleep/rage to longsword/hammer for all enhancements, standardized affinity penalty to -10%.

- The trio of Baros, Bambaro, and Hurricane has a rarity of 10, ranging from the easiest to the most difficult. However, Baros' weapons outnumbered the other two.

However, Baros' weapon was better than the other two. This was fixed by changing the sharpness to bambaro and hurricane,

In addition, the hurricane fire was changed to hidden fire/sleep/explosion. One more thing.

because it was a Hurricane weapon in the previous game, and my selection of items/statuses to some extent reflects that in 3U.

- I reduced the Savage Deviljaw affinity penalty to -20% and added one 4-slot and one 1-slot.

"Even though it was a rare 12, they were generally worse than the Tygrax weapon; Joe's weapon is harder to balance because it only has to fight Joe,

So we decided to give them slots instead of changing the raw value.

- Boiling Baselgeuse: All MR. improvements for 12th-rarity weapons increase the raw value by 20, for 11th-rarity the raw value increases to 270.

- Low sharpness and negative affinity justify such a big buff, given that the ball must be defeated to improve the Rarity 12. - Zora Magdalos: Speed increased to 290, rarity changed to 12.

- The Jewel of the Great Elder Dragon and the Bone of the Elder Soul are required. The rarity is changed to 12 to allow for buffs.

- Brute Tigrex Affinity penalty reduced to -25% for all upgrades.

- Competes with regular tiger, requiring MR. 70; adds 10 Raw and becomes violet when crafted.

- Ultra Wyvern Jawblade: now acquires white and violet sharpness during manufacture.

- Lost Babylon: Ham cost increased to 280.

- Commission of Inquiry ticket + Weapons requiring raw ham increased to 280.

- Hard-to-reach Ultra Wyvern Jawblade and Lost Babel became the arena's weapon, with the latter equal to Hellish Slasher.

"Rajan was naturally white.

"Being a complex monster, Rajan's shards need buffa. This requires a blue or higher acuity.

- Note The javelin points have been adjusted to match the other weapons.

- Brachidios Raw's rage reduced to 290.

"I adjusted the weapons a little bit to stop them from being objectively good. It remains an objectively good weapon.

- Fatalis: Fines for dampness and proximity are standardized to 340 and -30%.

- Standardized to Greatsword values.

Changes in artillery:

- Hajakaraka: Changed to Normal 6.

- The earliest access to the Normal 6 artillery is the Great Jagras with MR. 7, which requires the Solid Bones (MR. 14).

- Goldratian: currently Normal 7.

- Velhana: currently Norm 7

- Zinogr: currently normal 7

- Namiel: currently normal 7

- There were no weapons with a normal 7, except for updating the event/title. Balance adjusted after Ball's defeat.

- Tigrex is currently Long 6

- Kushala Daora currently has a length of 6.

- The earliest available Long 6 lance is the Viper Tobi in MR. 18. Both require fragments of Kushara (MR. 19).

- Nargakuga: currently width 6, first update - width 5.

- Gravenus: currently width 6, first upgrade - width 5.

- Barrios: currently width 6

- Baselgeuse currently width 6

- The Blaze Lunastra is currently 6

- For some reason, outside of events and title updates, there was not a large 6-weapon force. The acquisition of Solid Bone stabilized the situation.

- Sharah Ishwarda: currently width 7

- Rough Tigrex: currently width 7

- Destructive Nergiant: currently width 7

- Lunastra "Ruin": currently width 7

- Styx Lunastra: currently 7 width

- Outside of the event/title updates there was not a single shoot-out with a width of 7. Balance adjusted after Ball's defeat.

Two additional versions of No More Slap On Weapons mod are available: Install No More Slap On Weapons after you install it, and install the version of mod that matches the installed version of NSOW.

Previously, there was a version of fashion corresponding to the regular version of NSOW Parts Changer, but we realized that the regular version of Parts Changer is not needed, since it is a multilayered weapon.

You can also optionally download JSON files for each weapon. They can be used in MHW-Editor to make changes to any existing weapon file. Open the weapon file you want to modify, click the Open pop-up menu, select Import JSON Changes, select the appropriate JSON file, and save the weapon file. You're all set now.

Note: As with any other mod that changes the gameplay, we do not recommend using this mod online with people who do not use it. You should have no problems using it, but we cannot guarantee it.
